Well, I'm 83 and I started Carnivore (from 1-1/2 years of Keto) a few months before my 83rd birthday. I'm doing quite well. It's helping so much with my health. I've lost 80 pounds and my health is so much improved.

I’m a living witness that the scale doesn’t mean much at all! I’ve only lost 15 lbs, but so much inflammation that people think I’ve lost 50+ lbs.

I just turned 64 a few days ago. I'd lost 50 pounds back in the mid-'90s with the Atkins diet. It was before the "net carb" lie. No bars shakes or frozen meals. So I did it on meat, eggs, and veg. I stayed a size 8 for about 10 years. If I ate a cookie a week, it was a big deal. I had a few setbacks involving MRSA which required copious amounts of antibiotics and caused very bad reactions. I had surgery a few years later and then a motorcycle accident. I slowly started putting pounds back on as I became more and more sedentary. I got used to being in pain and then menopause happened. I did not experience much in the way of suffering. It wasn't a big deal. Today, I look up and see I've had a few years of incredible stress and I'm now over 200 pounds. My biggest complaint is the pain, the gas, the bloating, and did I mention the pain? EVERYTHING hurts. I don't exercise because it hurts so I sit still and it hurts. CAN I TELL YOU! I've been eating meat, butter, and eggs for about a week now, ONLY a week and I already have so much energy and the pain is diminishing. I'm looking forward to great things. Thanks for such a great panel. I'm inspired.

For me, menopause was a non-event. I stopped menstruating at 47, and that was it. Nothing happened, no changes, no weird symptoms. But then again, at the time, I had been very low carb and no processed "food" for about 10 years. In my 60s now, and still no issues, happy and energetic.

I’ve been carnivore for 8 months. Was keto for years prior. Also was on HRT since 2020. I went off all supplements, including HRT before my surgery, which was last September 2023. I was wanting to get off HRT, but was worried about what symptoms I might experience. It was a breeze for me. No problem at all. Never went back. I feel great. I think being full carnivore is what made the difference for me. When I started taking HRT in 2020, I definitely needed it and a felt better. I also had adrenal fatigue. I didn’t sweat when I exercised!I stopped using Flonase, started taking iodine everyday and stopped the intense cardio. Now I focus on long walks. No sunglasses, squats weights and animal based diet. I feel great.

HRT has done wonders for women’s energy levels, sex drive and overall youthful feeling including sleep! Don’t suffer ladies, if you need it’s ok, take the help
  • @brandi6591
Let’s not forget about caffeine and it’s negative effects on the adrenals.
  • I've had major changes 2 weeks in. I suffer from chronic uticaria ,food allergies. This year it has been overwhelming. Hives head to toe every night. It is GONE!! Three days in they were GONE!! On top of that I have carried all my fat on my legs and butt since puberty. I've done bodybuilding , calorie reduction. The fat wouldn't move. I looked so funny, muscular upper body, fat bottom. I've lost 7 lbs from my legs and bottom in the last 2weeks finally!! ❤
  • i very gratefull to you!! i dont speak english very well. But i traduce. im from uruguay. i been carnivore since february 2020, and i apreciate to see all of you women and your comments and advices. thank you so much.
  • I'll be 38 Thursday and I'm hoping to be in the best shape of my life by the time I hit 40
  • I have been carnivore for 20 days and since around day 2 the hotflashes have increased hugely in intensity and frequency

Very true about menopause - I was really suffering for 5 years went into menopause at 45 - once I went Carnivore .... wow all my menopause issues disappeared, especially the hot flushes. If I break this and eat carbs - they come back straight away.

So good to hear from women in my age group! "Patience' is not my strong suit, but these ladies might just change that. 😊

I’m a 70 year old female carnivore (5 years) and totally agree with all of you. I do not take any medications or supplements. Thank you so much for this discussion‼️ Be safe & healthy❤️😷

I’m on HRT and it has saved me. I had zero estrogen and progesterone. I think we are all different. I was so sick I could barely drive. I thought I was dying.
  • @Sisters-gx8ko
I am a woman carnivore!!💋🌺🧚‍♂️🦋💥💫 My health is amazing!!
  • @Marigold-ip3gw
I’m on week two (again) starting carnivore. Getting through the initial fatigue is the hardest part for me. Then I heard Kelly say, “I’ve been a carnivore a whole 45 minutes and I’m still not healed!” I cracked up that directly applies to me- I enjoyed this entire episode ❤❤ Would love to hear more from the older, experienced crowd. We’re often the invisible people in society, yet we’re still very much a part of.
  • @coffeecurls5464
So glad you guys are talking Adrenal Fatigue and carnivore 🙋‍♀️here I am
  • For women who breezed through menopause, great. To say those of us who are dealing with severe symptoms are not necessarily unhealthy, I’ve been eating properly for years.... I can deal with the hot flashes, night sweats, and mood swings. What I cannot deal with is vaginal dryness and the pain that is associated with it, depression, weight gain, achy joints. HRT terrifies me but I am going forward with it to see if I can manage the overwhelming symptoms. Please do not make women who desperately need help feel like they are doing something wrong or label us as unhealthy because we aren’t joyfully going through this process.

I am so grateful for my bio-identical hormones. Just wanted to weigh in. I agree with Dr Jamie Seeman. Get the hormone test and help your body balance if you need to.
