  • To all those mommies watching this video and feeling guilty that you are not doing enough for your kid believe me when I say this. You are doing the best you can. I watched this video when my first son was 2 years old coz he didn’t speak a word Not even mama … and I felt so guilty thinking I wasn’t doing enough but now with my second son, he is 11 months old and is as responsive as the girl in this video. And I didn’t do anything different with my second son. It’s just how different both my kids are. My message to all moms.. every kid learns at theirs own pace no matter what you do.
  • It has been seven months now being a stay at home dad (temporarily until my wife completes her military contract) and I can agree that tv time for my now 12 month old daughter, she turned 1 on the 30th of January, is definitely a life saver because I am usually juggling so much during the day and putting on her favorite show The Backyardigans helps me so much but I make sure that she has more play time throughout her day and so far she’s growing so well. I just want to make sure I am doing my part on her growth so here I am getting as many tips that I can. I love these videos, thank you for all the helpful tips! 🙏🏼
  • Listen to what she said towards the middle-end of the video. Babies are all different and grow at different paces. While her baby is 14 months and struggles to walk, ours was fully walking and standing without falling much by 10 months; on the other hand, our baby understands well and listens well, but is refusing to speak much besides mama(when she needs me). She’s about to be 12 months next month. Be patient, be consistent and encourage them as much as possible; do not freak out
  • This was so helpful. THANK YOU! . I did find myself feeling a bit guilty watching this because i wish i could stay home all day and spend time with my son to teach him myself vs sending him to daycare. Working a 9-5 is necessary, but it doesn’t stop the guilt. Moms who are able to stay home with their babies are truly fortunate and blessed.
  • She is so adorable! This was a helpful reminder of little things that can be done. My 2nd child is 14 months old and I feel like I am slacking trying to balance things. It’s important to just remember every child is different in their growth, having another child I definitely see that and understand now.
  • Just wanted to say that you are a great mom and your are doing an amazing job with Riley. Thanks for sharing with us
  • This is my first time watching and I definitely subscribed!! I love how detailed you are that's exactly what I need. So thank you for this!!
  • the first 1 minute n 15 seconds of your baby talking are my favorite.love to the smart kiddo
  • @luisihne
Great video! You pointed out the goods and the bads. Most people just talk like everything is perfect and nothing goes wrong. Your very down to earth
  • @ani703
I don't usually like long videos but this was a good one. Thanks for posting. I picked up some great tips! And your little girl is adorable.

You've quickly become one of my favorite YouTubers, and now I'm going back and watching older videos. I just want to say thank you so much for showing the times that she does not cooperate!! My son just turned one year old and since he's my first, really the only examples of how children should be at this age are the ones I see on YouTube. A lot of moms edit out the times their baby does not cooperate (I'm assuming?) and this led me to believe my son must be a bad listener or not like me because he only cares to talk or make animal noises like 1 out of every 10 times I ask! I know... it's silly what we moms can think sometimes haha. Thank you for helping me know it's completely normal!
  • Watching this to help me improve in teaching my baby how to talk. Really helpful.
  • @PatienceJ
Yes! For educational tv my little one just turned 11 months and she already knows soooo much! Thanks for the extra tips x
  • Riley is so adorable. Your voice is sooooo reassuring. Thank you very much for this video.
  • I feel blessed to have stumbled across your channel!! I've felt inadequate as a first time parent being a SAHM. I had no idea what to do and when. Seeing others in a similar situation sharing their light and calmness helps sooo much. Thank you for sharing!
  • You go girl! Way to live your best life with your baby & keeping it real for us.
  • Oh my goodness you’re amazing. I love the realness of how it takes time
  • Thanks so much for your video! Actually I did similar things with you by showing my son flash cards but he didn’t seem to grasp what I’d been telling him so I gave up. but watching your videos make me going to start again. My son is 14 months old but he hasn’t talked yet, he only babbled. I’m going to learn from you by talking non stop to him now 😊😊😊
