WHY DO I ALWAYS SIN and WILL I EVER STOP? Will I ever be FREE of my sin?

Why can't I stop sinning and will I ever stop? We are a generation of sinners, and continuous sin has become our new normality. We need to be forgiven, we need to repent, but we lack the strength of real faith to even start repenting.

Fr Seraphim from the Orthodox Monastery of All Celtic Saints on the Isle of Mull, Scotland, talks about his own experience fighting with his sinfulness, and shares that healing has not begun through anything he read or anything he was told to do – healing began through being loved by a spiritual person, and learning to see himself and the world through the eyes of his spiritual father.

This week, on May 27th, we celebrate two AMAZING Celtic Saints - St Bede the Venerable and St Melangell (Monacella) of Wales. St Bede is an amazing protector of scholars and students, while St Melangell is loved by everyone who needs protection and shelter. St Melangell's love of all things and the strength of her prayer are illustrated in the story about how she protected even the most humble and helpless creature - a poor bunny 🐰 🐇 - from its hunters. 'Cover me, Melangell' is one of the most simple and heart-felt prayers I know.  Icons of both Saints are available from the Monastery collection of Celtic Saints Icons - shop.mullmonastery.com/product-category/mounted-ic… The Monastery thanks you for all your support! • My toddler has got so used to hearing you that he now attempts to delay bedtime by asking for "Sermph? Sermph??!" which is his way of saying "Seraphim". Thank you for making these talks for us. They mean a lot.

    5 Paths to Sin: 1) Weakness; 2) Ignorance; 3) Suffering; 4) Influence; 5) Fear
  • I have felt this way for years, that God doesn't Love me for all the sins that I have committed through out my lifetime. But your words has finally given me the chance to have God back in my life and the He does Love me and I can Love Him in a new way. Thank you

I am Roman Catholic but Your videos have given me spiritual wisdom. Thank you
  • I spoke with a friend recently in a time of repentance. I had sinned, and told them I was grievously sorry. And she said this. "Show yourself mercy, dont beat yourself up. If mercy is good enough for Jesus, it should be good enough for you". That is not to say that we should feel our sin is permitted, but when we sin we have an advocate in the father, and we should be as loving and forgiving to ourselves as god is to us - to the best of our ability
  • Dear Father, I am a Benedictine monk and I suffer very much. But I love Our Lord. I look forward to your talks in the evening—a light shining in the darkness. You help me make sense of what I’m experiencing and you are leading me to deeper trust. This morning I read from St. Augustine: “For as love grows stronger we feel more secure, and when our feeling of security is complete fear vanishes.” God bless you.

This is so relevant with the onslaught of technology and how everything is at the tip of our fingertips...to fulfill the passions... it honestly makes me sick and can plunge me into despair especially that for my 14 yr old. Lord have mercy on me a sinner and Lord have mercy on my son, Joseph. But... So encouraging that Gods love for us does not change 😭and Hes willing to go the extra mile for us ☦❤ Beautiful story about your spiritual Father, thank you for sharing May God take our dust and redeem it. God bless you

Wow!!! Did I need to hear this today. Please pray for me father. I am in an addiction and I am trying to make war against this addiction. I am a true little poodle and not a spiritual lion. I am a full kilometer from the shore. Bless you father.
  • The man with clay wings sounds just like me! Man, oh, man. The addictive, electronic age is the main issue. Mankind no longer really lives simplicity anymore. It's amazing how the Catholic faith continues to this very day. I mean, just think about that for a second: so many things come and go in this world, but God's church has never, and will never, die out. That kind-of just hit me like a ton of bricks. :) Amazing.
