His boxing style is straight fundamentals.
  • If it wasn't for Canelos impeccable ultra instinct Defense he would have been KOd by Bivol. Bivol is so poise and strong that no matter what Canelo did he could not break Bivols guard. Huge props to both fighters they both displayed what you're supposed to do against your opponents advantages and capitalizing on your own.
  • The only man who make Soviet Boxing Style great again🔥🙌
  • He’s becoming one of my favorites. A true clinician.
  • Dmitry is one of my favorite fighters. He makes boxing look like fluid poetry — so elegant and beautiful. Another thing that makes him so special… when you watch his interviews, he’s so humble and has a very sacred and delicate spirit. I can’t wait to see what the future has in store for him.
  • I'm Mexican so obviously we tend to be obsessed with our fighters. But Bivol truly impressed me beating Canelo, and especially Surdo Ramirez. Perhaps your analysis is correct about him. I like that he is not defence minded, since I see that he goes forward a lot but unlike most fighters. Juan Manuel Marquez had a similar approach, which was why Juan Manuel was considered a boring fighter early in his career. Juan Manuel always said he would go for the knockout but in a intelligent way. Compared with Bivol though, I see a lot more careful distancing and footwork, though he doesn't run away he's always in the pocket. It's beautiful to watch. A very disciplined athlete. For me Bivol is pound for pound the best boxer.
  • This is quite honestly one of the best boxing videos I've ever seen. Excellent breakdown of just how textbook and clinical Bivol is. He always seems in rhythm, and makes his combos look effortless. I'm glad he got his shine against Canelo, truly a world class talent..
  • Bivol was such an under appreciated Champion. I’m glad he got the victory over Canelo. Well deserved.

the thing about Bivol is, even though he looks basic and orthodox, he's extremely unpredictable. It's like fighting the ocean wave in a storm. He hits with some heavy shots but when you put the energy to cover up, he was just lightly touching that makes you frustrated. More over, it never stops. The waves of jabs with random powers and an occasional heavy assault combos when you least expect it really break you down mentally.

I loved the way that Dimity would not allow Canelo to lead the dance. He would continually disrupt his offense just as it was starting and Canelo would have to reset and try again.

Dimitri Bivol is the best all around complete fighter of this era. So skilled but really great fighter and a very good personality. We will see more great fights from this fighter.

Elite level boxer, who I believe will never be defeated, and good on him he's earned it. I wish him all the best in the future. C'mon Bivol!
  • Great analysis. He gave Canelo a boxing lesson. He is so enjoyable to watch and the future looks bright for him. Seems like a real nice person too.
  • Old school CCCP style for the modern pro era. Incredible. His boxing is so simple and straight on, yet he beats everybody. Almost with ease.
  • @souldry
This man could become a legend when his career is done. Ten years from now, we’ll see a whole bunch of little Bivols rising through the boxing ranks, using his style.
  • @Gr0s3d
I love the way he cut all Canelo combinations, every time Canelo want to do something Bivol control it with jabs.
  • @kenny10100
It's funny how the narrative around Canelo changed from him being absolutely unstoppable, to him having the guts to take on a world champion the weight class above lmao. Bivol put on a masterclass that fight!
  • Bivol is a ward of Nickolay Isaev. He was an inovator in boxing. So his fighting style is a very unique. R.I.P. Isaev. 😞
  • @mtmatt6111
Great video. Bivol's bouncy in and out style takes insane cardio. When you watch Bivol train - whether heavy bag, mitts, shadow boxing - he never stops moving his feet and he never loses his bounce. His footwork is second nature to him and he can move for 12 rounds without getting tired.
