The books are great, but I have zero expectations for this adaptation. Will be a total Netflix slop as usual.

Dumb and dumber involved? Hmmm I dont know... they dont end well. Edit: End their projects well.

After what people did to Wheel of Time and Locke & Key I have lost all faith in tv adaptations.

This could be a 10 star show but I would never touch it simply out of spite that D&D are production heads for the series. There's no amount of revelations that would make me consider any of their material again. With Rian Johnson producing, it just makes it an absolute no go. I'm glad they bolster all of their red flags in one place so I can easily avoid it. That being said, I'm sure it will be easy for them since they did so well with GoT when they still had source material to directly adapt rather than improvise on their own. All they have to do is adapt the trilogy faithfully for an easy win, however I really think they're going to come to a huge roadblock when trying to adapt this for casual/modern audiences and are going to somehow dumb it down harder than they did with GoT.

Sorry, CC, lost me with D&D. I do have the 3 Body Problem and I’ll get around to reading it, relieved to hear it’s apparently good, but I don’t think I can stomach any more idiocy from these two clowns

I haven't heard of this series, but there is another Netflix series I'm excited for. It's called The Vince Staples Show, and it looks really interesting.

The author wasn't anti-communist, he's just anti ignorant yet arrogance people, opportunist and hypocrite, you'll notice if you read his other books, also the main lead from 2nd book was somewhat inspired by Mao.

somewhat looking forward to it, but i also dont like changes like spliting the main character into 5 new show original characters stupid fat guy from got is in it ugghhh disgusting... dont like that guy he scks... it will probably be flop and subpar compared to the chineese version, which still isnt perfect dan and dave took this cuz they want the big spectacle pieces like the judgment day sequence that was really intense and well made in the chinese version also dan and dave didnt ran out of book material, ton of plots and characters are misisng from the show, most of a dance with dragons wasnt adapted, they realised it will take so many years and season to make a perfect adaptation of the book, they just out of this massive project and something new (at least thats my theory) also the 4th book is fan fiction, but its approved by the author from what i've read online and yes everyone dies in the end XD

Three Body, and the Remembrance of Earth's Past trilogy more broadly, is extremely soft sci-fi. Hard Sci-fi is stuff like The Martian, Planetes, and Europa Report. And Star Wars isn't even sci-fi. It is a space-ocean fantasy epic.
