  • Great video Dana! Praise God, Texas is in my future! Patiently awaiting His timing. Amen.
  • Great video…as always! You give a feel for this BIG state!! And it does vary from area to area! I love it!! You don’t have to go far to explore something new!
  • Texas has mountains (Guadalupe Peak is 8751 feet), the 2nd largest canyon in the U.S., (the Palo Duro Canyon), beaches, forests, rivers, lakes, 4 large underground caverns, and the huge pink Enchanted Rock in the Hill Country. Ten percent of Texas is desert, 44% of the state is flat, and 38% is forested.

The property taxes are horrible. 6-8,000 a year. It's hot as hell and horrible traffic.

Dallas and all cities have no idea how to deal with freezing weather or snow - if it snows here everything comes to a complete stop.

As a nurse, I always want to move to Texas. From Massachusetts
  • Hello Dana (& Pastor Brandon).....thanks for making this video (I am guessing, yesterday), with these 10 (important) Things a person needs to know before moving Texas in 2023. 👍👍📝 Sadly, The Lord God's Provision for my desire in moving to Texas probably won't happen in 2023 unless....a mighty act of God happens next month or February, allowing me to relocate to the Lone Star State. I am still praying, asking for HIS Will (not mine) allowing me to move and relocate to a Texas city maybe, in 2024. Thanks again, Dana. God's Mighty Blessings to you, Brandon, your three teenagers and also your dog as well. 😊🙏🙏🙏📖 Merry CHRISTmas! 🎄🎄🎄

Houston is worse than San Antonio for humidity but yes SAT is bad also, Dallas Fall and Spring last about a week or 2 for each if that. Dallas (city of) has become dangerous IMO. Was never like that until the last 8-10 yrs. Traffic is really bad now. Amarillo can get very cold. Everyone in the world moves to Frisco. Takes forever to drive a mile there. Also a very big state, roads are bad meaning pot holes and such. All major cities are liberal, Austin being San Francisco II. The outskirts are very conservative/right leaning. The coast/beaches are not anything like Atlantic/Pacific. In Rural areas you might see someone riding a horse to the store. Go west, lots of open private land
  • I am definitely looking into all this because I'm planning on moving to Texas from Illinois I am nervous about it because I've lived in Illinois since I was born this is my first time moving out of state but I have always wanted to get out of Illinois
