Look. Water in Florida is NOT an issue. its WIND that IS the issue! This place is a tabletop. What happens if you knock over a HUGE glass of water on a tabletop? Same thing happens in Florida. It either runs off SLOWLY (no gravity to increase speed like in mountains) OR it just gradually soaks into the aquifer. Places like Broward and Dade have more of an impact because those counties are only a coupla feet above MSL. But outside those counties rain means nothing.
