Song: "War Pigs"
~ LYRICS ~
"War Pigs"

Generals gathered in their masses
Just like witches at black masses
Evil minds that plot destruction
Sorcerers of death's construction
In the fields the bodies burning
As the war machine keeps turning
Death and hatred to mankind
Poisoning their brainwashed minds
Oh lord yeah!

Politicians hide themselves away
They only started the war
Why should they go out to fight?
They leave that role to the poor

Time will tell on their power minds
Making war just for fun
Treating people just like pawns in chess
Wait 'til their judgement day comes
Yeah!

Now in darkness world stops turning
Ashes where the bodies burning
No more war pigs at the power
Hand of God has struck the hour
Day of judgement, God is calling
On their knees the war pig's crawling
Begging mercy for their sins
Satan laughing spreads his wings
oh lord yeah!

  • Funny how a band that was accused of being evil wrote the best anti-war song ever made.
  • Anyone who ever called this, "the Devil's music" was never really listening.
  • Bad ass song anybody still listening in 2024 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm 66 still listening to black Sabbath !!!!!!!!!
  • Nobody: Walmart employees: People gather in their masses buying paper for their asses
  • War Pigs is a masterpiece of heavy metal that exposes the hypocrisy and corruption of the warmongers who profit from the suffering of others.War Pigs is a classic that deserves to be heard and appreciated by all fans of rock and metal. This song never gets old.
  • A friend from Czech Republic Introduced me to black Sabbath.. Am Ugandan love it so much
  • 70 here still listening to the song of protests thank you Ozzie
  • What makes this song so brilliant and effective is that it doesn't mention any person, country, organization, event, or war. Instead it is vague and generic, making its message a permanently relevant and timeless criticism of human nature, rather than a divisive one-sided take on a single event.
  • This song is gonna be pretty relevant in the coming years

In 1970 when I was 7 years old, I asked Santa Claus for this album. Christmas morning was an exciting day as i received what I asked for. I asked mon if I could play my new album on the stereo. She said lets wait for grandma and grandpa to get here and we'll all sit and listen together. Grandma and grandpa showed up, the record was played, mom went into hysterics, and I went to therapy. I still have that album, it's one of my favorites.

I'M 61 & BEEN LISTENING TO BLACK SABBATH FOR 52 YEARS, IT NEVER GETS OLD.......
  • You know we are in trouble when a song like this becomes more relevant in time instead of waning.
  • Sabbath's intention was to write "scary music" ; the scary part of this song is the truth in the lyrics, something the popular music media and politicians could never comprehend.
  • I am 55 and still listening to this amazing music, 4/2024 hope I am here in 2025.
  • Best anti war song and people called them devil worshipers lol
