The green scotch brite scrub sponges with bar keepers friend would wipe all of that out. A rag just doesn’t have any grit to it.
  • @acaliaaidras5012
You didn't mention that Bar Keeper's Friend costs half as much as The Pink Stuff. I would scrub for a few more seconds for that reason alone.

I have both BKF and The Pink Stuff, I still prefer BKF. You just use it as a paste and it’s cheaper.

Bar keepers works great when you use the correct cleaning tool. A rag soaks up the powder so you use more and one finger isn't sufficient to cover any are other than a small circle. PLUS I feel you scrubbed harder/better on with your favorites.

For effortless cleaning with Bar Keepers: Inside a pan: sprinkle it and add just a little water to keep it moist. Let it sit for several hours or overnight & then wash with dish soap. For pot bottoms: make a paste with the powder & water & apply it to the pan. If it looks like it’s drying out, spritz it with water from a spray bottle. Let it sit overnight & then wash it with dish soap.

Bar keepers friend and the silver scrubber together to remove the bad stuff off the pan

Make a paste with barkeepers friend . It was formulated for stainless bar sinks . I use it all the time .

The copper bottomed skillet needed an acid base, vinegar, katsup, lemon.

I missed you for a long time. Got sick I August and am now a lot better. Glad to see you again.

I love your videos! As far as barkeeper's friend (I use it at home and at work) you need to get the surface wet and sprinkle it on and then scrub it off. I like pink stuff as well but I have scrubbed 20+ years of grime (my mom's cookware) with barkeeper's friend.

In all honesty you are using way more of The Pink Stuff than an equal amount of Bar Keeper's Friend. Of course, a paste is easier to apply and spread because it already has some moisture in it. I use BKF for most things because it doesn't scratch and I use it on my glasstop stove with no issues. I think the price is fair and the product is easy to find. I just looked up where to buy TPS and it says that Target and Home Depot have it as well as some Walmart stores. The price seems to be about $10 but it could be worth it if it works for you. I tend not to buy many different cleaning products. I use BKF for my glasstop stove, stainless steel sink, stainless steel pots and pans, bathtub, shower, sinks and toilet. It's nice to have options though, isn't it?

Follow the directions of Bar Keepers.... apply to wet surface, let sit, works great.
  • @user-hh9sd6pl5c
Just spray the bottoms with oven cleaner. Leave overnight. Works!
  • @sylviamachek7672
Bar Keepers Friend works wonders in all kinds of cleaning situations. Trick is to let it sit a bit and use the proper scrubbing tool (that rag is useless, even for washing dishes).
  • @christinabas6462
For the price difference, I would stick with Bar Keepers. For really bad stains, I spray and leave oven cleaner on for a while.
  • Like your side by side comparisons. Haven't seen Pink paste here, yet. I have the spray. I love Bar Keepers friend. Just a word to others, please be careful mixing chemicals to clean in your kitchen or any where. Burnedcand scared my lungs in my 20's. Never been the same since. Thank you for all you do. Usually I'm a silent watcher.
  • @karenjerread2098
Pink stuff or BKF all the way and use a green scrubbie pad when needed.
  • @lindamiller7059
I cut my Brillo/sos in half. Cause I don’t like the rust either
  • @brightstarr57
I use either bar keepers or comet with silver scrubber...you need to try that. Using a rag isn't as effective as a scrubber...in my opinion.
