You are aspirational. Being an artist in the middle of work and life is no small feat. I met a world-renowned 80 yo sculptor today-still creating the most incredible work, but she worked for a long time as a family therapist, which in turn informed her art. She has a young assistant who helps her now and she says her assistant improves her art. I think Western culture gets so hung up on age that it makes phases of life and differing circumstances harder than they have to be - at least for me. I don't get to my art as much as I want and need to. I understand how you have to fight not to lose yourself to life obligations and the corporate world. Remember you are amazing and doing great! Thank you for sharing with us. Oh, and it was great seeing Dustin's workday. I had no idea he did all of the woodworking and table creation.🎨

You are still aspirational. I work a 9-5 and own an embroidery business. It’s hard to shift focus when you’ve worked all day and have to be creative and productive in your other passion. I love hearing about your current season that you’re in!

I felt so very inspired and all you were doing was sharing your experiences and providing some advice. That really, really helps people (even non-creatives like me) in ways you may not even imagine.
