  • Hey, thank you for this. I saw this a couple years ago and it has changed my world. I use it all the time to build and repair things that really have no buisness being fixed.
  • As someone who makes card stock and chipboard minis, this tip changed my game a few years ago! It makes my pieces like they’re wood. The strength and bond of this combination is insane!
  • I looked at this video while back a year or so ago and I realized that acrylic nails that they do in a beauty salon is almost about the same kind of a situation and I used it it works really good thank you for showing me this I appreciate it
  • Actually you fill the crack with the baking soda and then put the glue on it... it soaks in nicely and hardens really well.

You could add fine graphite powder to the baking soda . Mix well until you get a grey color. Or use ground cinnamon with the baking soda and mix it dry. Get a light brown color .Take ground cinnamon , fine graphite powder, baking soda and mix it together. You get a nice brownish black color. THEN fill a cracked plastic object by the crack, use a small spoon or brush and wipe the dry colorant you made into the crack. THEN add several drops of super glue along the crack. Instant welds the two pieces back!

This video is 4 YEARS OLD!! and definitely a top ten for me. It’s one of those simple genius skills only a few know. Love it!

You can repair chipped bone knife handles and guitar parts with this method also. It doesn’t matter what order you combine the stuff . Once they touch, the combination becomes hard as stone. It’s standard procedure for repairing a chipped bone guitar nut or filling an improperly cut string slot.

As a woodworker, one of tne pitfalls is when a chip occurs, especially around a drilled hole or at an end of a saw cut. Using the thicker type of super glue, apply it to the the chipped area, press in the finest bits of sawdust available, allow it to dry, sand it smooth, and you're good to go.
  • @CaptainVelveeta
I'd actually like to see a video on how to use a bottle of super glue more than once.
  • @mercoid
I repaired a highly detailed section of a porcelain figurine using this method. Once I built up the area, it was easy to shape it with needle files and super fine sandpaper. A little Testor’s model paint, and the repair was virtually undetectable.

Superglue works great for pinhole punctures in bicycle tires. Just a dot over the hole, drys quick, and you're back it the saddle!

At the top of a guitar neck is what's called the nut. It's what holds the strings in place. The slots in the nut that hold the strings need to be a specific depth. So there's nut files that are the same thickness of each string. If you cut the nut slot too deep, instead of buying a new nut, you add baking soda and then drip super glue on the baking soda and then re file the slot. Yes, it's rock hard!!

You are an excellent teacher of the information you have acquired in your trade. I love how your personality shines through and you added some comic relief but still kept it quick and to the point. Learned something new, thank you and God bless.
  • This kind of random “actual person makes something” stuff is the treasure of youtube in my opinion. Great stuff man

I'm a wood turner and find that coffee grounds and thin CA give a more realistic filler. Very strong and helped along with accelerator.

This cement is a secret weapon taught to me by my physics teacher. Ive used it for impossible things and its instant and strong and long lasting.
