We couldn't really see how much venom entered Mark's hand from the stonefish spine. Being careful, It was likely less than 100th of a drop. Probably thousands of times or even tens of thousands times less than someone accidentally stepping on it and taking the full Brunt of several spines squirting loads of venom into their foot. That has happened to people, some didn't survive, and many of the ones that did, were begging for death. And look at what Mark went through with a likely imperceptible amount of venom injected. That's how extraordinarily toxic stonefish venom is.

When I was nine years old, I was stung by a "Bullant," which is what Australians commonly call it. It happened on the banks of the Murray River. At first, I thought someone had punched me on the ankle. But when I looked down, I saw an ant stinging me with its abdomen. Not many people know that ants can sting, so no one believed me when I told them on the holiday. I had to endure the intense pain silently for about two hours.

Getting stung by a stonefish on purpose is wild. Probably the craziest thing done on brave wilderness.

well fyi : after the poison already take out (at first time),so the second time (when his hand meet when the poison,so the ammount will be less than the first one),if he do at the first time poison he will direct go to hospital.

Thank you for taking good care of the fish. I sometimes don't like watching this kind of encounter video where the animal is clearly distressed and frightened, but I see the overall greater good accomplished--IF the animals are treated with respect and upset as little as possible.
