A Challenge for my Hebrew Roots Friends

2024-02-15に共有
If you’re a Torah-keeper Christian, I genuinely want to hear your thoughts on this. I’m going to present you with a set of Old Covenant commandments that I believe have clearly ended. To me this is undeniable evidence that the Law of Moses is no longer in effect. But I want to understand how you see it. How do you work out this issue? First, we’ll take a good look at the Scriptural data on this issue, and then we’ll talk about the only two possible ways that data can be harmonized and make sense. There’s the way mainstream biblical Christianity views it, and then there’s the way many of our “Torah-observant” friends view it.

Thank you, Brother Solberg, for an excellent and much-needed teaching. It certainly meets an urgent and serious need in many churches today. Thank you for setting up camp and bringing the freedom of clarity in defense of the truth to this particular frontline of the church. Hearing you, I immediately subscribed to your channel.

Brother Prof Solberg, i believe many get into this movement because they want to honor God and are beguiled, but then pride for many yokes them in because they feel in someway they are “the chosen people” or part of the chosen in the same way physical descendants of Abraham are by these delusions of attempting to follow a distorted view of Torah and rise up to play with idols of the mind and heart. It takes much prayer, love, and an actual move of God to throw off this yoke, and those often released and fall back into the grace of Christ are always by God alone and not by efforts of the person themselves. i started down this road and ended up in a synagogue almost converting to Judaism but the Lord saved me from error but it took much time to unravel much of my thinking and there is some leaven remaining for which your channel is helping me clear out. i know though the Love of God pulled me out. Christ is using you to help set captives free so please continue in your work/ministry. i encourage prayer for those trapped, appealing to God through Christ Jesus that some might be saved from error. ❤ May the Lord bless you in Jesus’ Mighty Name.

Thank you brother for your teaching on this. I attended a Messianic synagogue (Jesus is our Messiah) for 13 years, I love my brothers and sisters in Christ but often the disputes over the Mosaic law and the fulfillment of Christ atonement once and for all that believe came up. I noticed that many where trying to keep the law and deceived them selves, not admitting they where sinners. If you say Jesus did not fulfill the law and then you think you can and stand before God based on your failure since you believe in work’s salvation, then you will be judged for breaking the law with no hope for salvation. If a man keeps the whole law and then breaks on part of the law he is guilty of breaking the whole law. James 2:10 and 1 John 1:8 if we say that we have no sinned, we deceive our selves and the truth is not in us.
  • Hey friend, just stumbled across your video randomly. Having never seen or heard of you before, I just want to say I appreciate your clear, concise, and sincere approach. I'll be checking out more of your content. Shalom!

HR type theology isn't anything new, the 7th Day Adventist have been doing it for years. It sounds good at first, but legalism always becomes a burden. Instead of enjoying a relationship with a living God, you're checking boxes on a list.
  • I have a friend who is a Christian but is in the Hebrew Roots Movement. He tries to convince me that keeping the Old Testament laws is being obedient to Yeshua, it gives Him the honor he deserves. Thank you professor for all your insights into this topic that is leading many people astray from the truth.

This is so helpful! Thank you for your teachings. ❤
  • Thank you for your research on this topic. So important! Great video!
  • Professor I’m blessed to have found this channel. In my 40+ years of Bible studies and growing in my faith, I’ve never heard of this until in the past year. I was confused because these people talk like true lovers of God but insert strange things I’ve never heard of. I’ve learned that debating does not work. They twist scripture with the arrogance of Pharisees.

Thank you! Very good and clear teaching. I am now a subscriber. Looking forward to the next one Shalom ❤

I want to thank You for a great ministry. You are helping me understand New Covenant. As I left the SDA church over their Sanctuary Doctrine I think that Leviticus 4 was the most helpful as it shows our sins very clearly being forgiven and atoned for at the cross via "alter of burnt sacrifice" and no blood entering the sanctuary for that. Leviticus 4:27-35 This was the thing showed me clear error where they believe sins are transferred in the blood to the Holy to stand on record awaiting Investive Judgement before final stage of atonement.😢
  • Rob, I like your explanations. It is easier to catch complicated things by your teachings than alone by reading the bible. Thank you.
  • For my torahist bro....he wants more than just repent and believe. He considers himself as "sinless or perfect". Following laws of Moses and Christ in perfect harmony. U tell me if thats not "bewitched". Anyway, this is the worst place any believer of Christ be in. He's over and above everyone (he thinks) yet denays hes not that arrogant. Anyway...love your challenge and your teaching. Sound and humble. God bless. Shalom
  • Very informative video brother Rob but one big problem. Many HRs folks are King James Version Only. The moment you use any other translations, they will close you out.

ROMANS 2:13 "FOR NOT THE HEARS OF THE TORAH ARE RIGHTEOUS IN THE SIGHT OF ELOHIM, BUT THE DOERS OF THE LAW SHALL BE DECLARED RIGHT."
  • There’s a fringe Torahist movement that believes Jesus did die “once for all” but did so in order to become our forever high priest in Heaven, and therefore is actually today performing those ritual killings of bulls and goats to atone for all of our sins. This allows them to continue with their theology of the requirement of keeping the Torah commands today but without the need for us to continue the blood sacrifices - because Jesus (who is not God, this fringe group believes) - is now performing the duties of the old Levitical high priests in Heaven. They believe Jesus is in His glorified body and sacrificing spirit bulls and spirit goats. That is how they believe Jesus takes away the sin of the world. Would love to see your analysis and rebuttal.

Greetings I have been listening to your work on Hebrew roots or Torah observing groups. I am from Cape Town and this movement is predominantly among Afrikaans speaking people. I have friends who follow the Natsarim Teacheng by Lew White and they were using his teachings to guide them. Can you look into his teachings. My friends lives have really been affected in a crippling way and they are so full of fear and conspiracy theories. I am really concerned. Hope you can help
