Adding an audio input device in OBS is a straightforward process. Except when it isn’t.

Drew has been vexed by this problem many times and has the easy fix for what is going on. The solution is so simple you will wonder why it was ever an Issue in the first place!

Proud to say that even tho you were specifically speaking about Windows, poking around the sound and system settings on my Macbook Pro resulted in a similar outcome. I was able to add my G5 earbud with microphone and set up. I restarted OBS and it found the G5 and made it available as an audio input device. Perfect! Thanks, Drew!

having a strange issue where i can monitor mic audio outside OBS but cant get mic signal in OBS itself? interface is working with monitoring and other audio, just no luck with picking up voice on PC..

It still doesn't work, but works anywhere else, just not on OBS.

Your audio is so low I have to turn my vol fully up and I can still only just hear you
