When Employees Realized Their Job SUCKED

I can’t imagine there are bosses like that! It sounds like I’m the only person who like their boss!! 😂

My daughter (17) had reconstructive jaw surgery. I told my boss I needed 4 weeks off to take care of her. He asked why someone else couldn't do it. I responded it's MY child and my children are my top priority. To which he replied "well I don't know if we can cover all that time. Let me think about it" and I came back with "I'm sorry, I wasn't asking. I was just letting you know" At the end of my 1st week back I was let go due to cut backs... 😆 🤣 $19 an hour, 45 hr weeks. Hurt the pocket but healed my soul. Same boss the year prior. My next door neighbors house has an electrical fire. I was blocked in by the fire truck. Called boss who asked me to ask the firemen to move their truck. 😳

I had to go to my hometown for the death of one of my favorite Aunts. My supervisor tried to put me back to work the day after the funeral. My hometown is 6.5 hours from the city that I live in.

A few years back I got a job at WM. I informed them before I even started that I was couldn't work a week next month for me & my kids comic con vacation. Few weeks passed and I'm on the schedule for the dates I said I couldn't work. Talked to management. Nothing they could do schedule set. I could get someone to cover for me. Ok so is the company reimbursing the 700.00 out of pocket that's not refundable? Yeah they worked it out.

13 years of handing washing glassware behind a very high volume bar/ restaurant with no bar back! The beer keg cooler that was broken for months finally got fixed and my General Manager said look I just made your job easier! ie I was filling bags of ice and putting them on kegs and then mopping up water on floor for months! So I say, if you wanna make my job easier get me the dishwasher I have been asking for! He says, if you want a dishwasher go work somewhere that has one! I handed them a 2 weeks doctors note on Easter Sunday morning! They had 500 reservations and I was supposed to be the bartender! Two weeks later I gave them my 2 week notice with another 2 week doctors notice and said KISS MY ASS!

It’s not 200 years to get residency

A lot of those issues regarding time off are United States issues. Among first world countries, we suck in this respect. We even have people feeling guilty for taking accrued leave.

I asked this awhile back and nobody replied so I will ask again. Does anyone on here who drives for lyft have to randomly upload pictures of their drivers license and take selfies to lyft in order to continue driving? I'm seriously asking so please let me know if you do or do not. Silence does not mean no.
