Imagine getting the vision pro only to watch a couple of 3D movies or 4K movies like your TV already does or for VR which meta Quest 2 does for a much lower price and move some media apps around just like your phone and tablet does in your pocket, all of this for 3.5k and 4k€ (small fortune), what a huge buying remorse, just imagine what people could do with that small fortune.

If I have to choose 1 I’ll definitely choose Meta Quest 3
  • @samson143vr
This is like asking if someone should buy a McLaren or a Toyota, they are targeting completely different markets. Anyone that can afford the vision pro won’t be interested in quest 3 imo.

I have a Quest 2. The Quest 3 is a good upgrade for me personally and the one I want.
  • This isn't even a question to ask. This is just content and if it wasn't for the hostess which I respect I wouldn't even click. Ones for devs and ones for consumers.

Meta Quest 3: lighter, smaller, cheaper, has 500+ games and 20M user base Apple vision: Bulky, heavy, expensive, few games and only 100k user base (if sales expectations are met) tough choice 😂😂

If i had the budget today, i would definitely get both. Meta 3 for gaming and Apple Vision for daily use, music production and creating content. I just think it would be so amazing creating music and content in my house with screens all over the place.
  • @ZameerHJ
I’ll wait for the Vision SE. 😁

I suggest comparing the Quest 3 to Apple Vision (the non "pro" version), which I expect to be announced close to launch next year

I feel they are advertising the Vision Pro as an small headset TV/Movie theater, a part-time computer, and you can game on it a thing where the Quest has been doing most of that solidly for almost a decade now. If you've never owned a VR headset you wouldn't know but they have and yes Apple has done their polishing to an existing device but I'm not sure what they have done will be the defacto VB/AR headset, I think they went too far in some areas and improved what didn't need enhancing but the consumer will decide the outcome of all of this. BTW will the Vision replace having a TV or going out to the movies or a pro game?
  • @sharpvidtube
If they were the same price, I'd buy both, but if I had to choose, it would be the Quest 3, as I mostly use VR for gaming. As they aren't the same price, this is the easiest decision ever.
  • I think it's obvious that everybody wants the Vision Pro simply because most people didn't even know Facebook made a headset. And the people that didn't know, they didn't care about it enough to actually buy it, otherwise they would have had one already. It's the same thing with the iPhone, iPad and Apple watch! These things already existed before Apple came out with theirs, but Apple just made people want them and made them popular. And also Apple made the tech industry up their game and more Innovation was made!
  • Two different headsets; Meta Quest is for gaming and entertainment, the Vision Pro is for productivity and aims to replace your PC. The Meta is rocking the Snapdragon chip which doesn’t even touch the M2 and R1 Dual set up

This comparison is dumb, it's like comparing a PS5 to a Macbook, both are powerful, high-end technologies, but they have not the same purpose at all. The Quest main job is gaming, while the vision pro is described as a "spatial computer"...
  • @LeShowroomTV
Well I think they are two different beasts - I feel like le vision pro is more a luxurious display. While the quest is more intelligent more versatile, more AR as it is able to interact with virtual contents ands apps.
  • If they put an AR adobe/final cut video editing software on it, complete with a tutorials on a broad range of subjects. I'd start saving immediately for the apple pro.
  • @quikesteve
The price difference make it a bad comparison. You can buy 7 Quest 3 for the price of 1 Vision Pro.
  • @MarlinMay
A couple of things come to mind about the Vision Pro. First, yes the pricing seems way out of line for a product aimed at regular consumers. Compare its price to those of developer versions and developer kits of other XR headsets and pricing falls into line. For example, the Magic Leap XR headset is $3299. However, if you want the Developer version, the Dev Kit is over $4000. The other thing is the name. Apple has a pretty good record of releasing the highest end versions and then filling in the product line with "lesser" models. If you don't need the power an iPad Pro, there's an iPad. If you don't need the power of an iPhone 14 Pro, there's a whole family of iPhones below it. In my ever so humble opinion, Vision Pro is aimed at power users, business users, and of course hyper-fan first adopters. I wonder what the more vanilla Vision will be like. Will there be a Vision Air?
  • @loveadeola
I don't think we're asking the right questions here. What exactly is the point of the Vision Pro? What exactly is it bringing to the table that the world has never seen or had? And please don't tell me about improved performance or gimmicky UX. $3,500 will put 23 students through a Federal University for 4 years in my country. And they expect me to shell out that kind of money for something purposeless and shiny because it has an Apple logo on it?
