But a month later, the Orthodox school she taught at dismissed her after parents found out she is transgender, creating a fierce debate within the traditionally conservative community. Since then, she has been fighting to return to her life as a religious transgender woman – and to further the acceptance of other transgender people within Orthodox Judaism.

This is an interesting combination you wouldn’t expect. I’m kind of fascinated by folks who insist on existing in traditions and spaces that don’t want them.

Wait where did the kid come from? What did i miss?
  • She was my teacher, I liked her but she got fired for yelling at the principal. I know it wasn't about being trans as she only got "found out" after she got fired.

This can't be true. Someone in the orthodox community please debunk this.

That's a guy. He can live in his wonderland but don't expect us to join in on the lunacy.

Words, labels, beliefs, identities, they don't mean anything anymore. You feel like you want to be something? It doesn't matter what defines such an identity or group, just claim to be part of it and demand to be taken seriously, no matter your own traits, beliefs or context. There is no such thing as objectivity anymore. There is no such thing as structure, and truth itself is on the way out. Just make it up. I'm not sure if the way the world is going is somewhere we can come back from. I'm not sure if those pushing it the most are thinking about where they are pushing it. There's no guarantee that the world will withstand just anything.
