It’s wild that actual history like WWII was not allowed to be mentioned back then but I don’t ever recall NOT knowing what Magneto’s back story was.
The X-Men series was my first and most involved exposure to the ip too.
So just shows how sophisticated the writing was even with barriers. -

I've been rewatching the entire old X-Men Animated Series in preparation for X-Men 97, and I got to say I really liked the Phoenix Saga and the Dark Phoenix Saga in season 3. I really enjoyed revisiting the show, and I'm really glad this story and these X-Men are getting a continuation to their story! I'm so EXCITED!!!! X-Men 97 sounds amazing and like everything I wanted it to be! I'm so hyped!
