Now I see why Walker, Pickett, Olave, etc. all opted out for their games. But man, massive respect to Corral to playing this game and giving the fans what they wanted. I hope he has a very fast recovery.
  • Absolutely horrible for this young man . My stomach hurts just seeing this . Having been through knee leg injury surgeries I feel this young man's pain . I wish him tremendous recovery and a long professional carrier . Hang tough Mr Matt .
  • I hope Matt Corral gets a speedy recovery, but do not give players the backlash for opting out of these game.

Huge respect to him for playing in the game. This is what you risk though. Hope he gets better quickly because he deserves to

Nooooo and everyone was saying he’s weak if he doesn’t play 🤦‍♂️

I just wanted to say thank you somewhere to Matt Corral. Watching the interview he gave about how he was going to play in the Sugar Bowl was an awesome thing. The look on his face and the excitement in his voice you could see how much he wanted to be there with the people who he’d spent the last few years with, those special years of a special age that you never have again and I think that speaks a lot for the character of him. I am not here to say anything about playing or not playing in relation to the NFL Draft, it’s their lives and their decision. I am just grateful to have had this amazing young man play for the College and Football team I love. He will always be in the hearts and memories of many in my home state and will join names such as Manning, Chucky Mullins, and Laquon Treadwell , McAllister, Oher, Wallace, Kelly, Engram, Brown, Lodge, Prewitt, Golson Nkemdiche and so many others as heroes. I wish this great young man a speedy recovery and a great future. Hotty Toddy!!

This guy is a fighter. He's not done.

This is why I respect college athletes decisions when they choose to skip bowl games. Prayers to Corral tho 🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿
  • This will make him stronger much respect for even starting or suiting up with guys for this game
  • What a baller. Hoping he recovers quickly. Those Ole Miss RB’s are gonna have to win the game. Lane will come up with something at half but I dunno if that FR QB will be able to get it done.
  • I really respect him for playing the game despite the risks. Hope he has a long and successful career in the NFL and as a Razorback fan, I am glad to see him in the NFL instead of in the SEC West.

Loved the fact that he wanted to play in the game... just bad luck that he got injured. Hope that it's not something too serious.
  • @ethankibbey1976
That was the most heart wrenching injury I’ve seen in awhile. I have mad respect for him caring more about his current team and trying to get them a NY6 win than his future. I really hope his draft stock doesn’t plummet much. Love watching this guy. - A Michigan Fan

Prayers..the Pros need guys like this..who have and play with>Heart!

It's a good sign that he's able to bear weight and walk. Hopefully it's a bad sprain at worst and he'll recover quickly. Best wishes 🙏

At the beginning of the season, after reading about his NIL deal I thought Corral was overrated. Catching a few Reb's games here and there I realized how talented he really is. After seeing him go down in this bowl game, his genuine reaction from being benched by the injury and hearing his remarks on why he didn't opt out of the bowl game made me a fan of his from NOW ON!! I surely hope I get to see him on Sunday in the future!!

I feel so awful for him. Hopefully he can make a full recovery and still be successful in the NFL.
