Fallout isn't "the 1950's", it's "how the people of 1950's imagined the 2050's"
-
It's a good show but another settlement needs our help, here, I'll mark it on your map

Im still annoyed how the turret missed the scientist while he was going at 2mph in ep2.

My favorite thing about the show is that it isnt a cinematic adaptation of fallout into a show, it's literally written as if a video game. The characters pause for choices and verify dialogue lines, healing is instant when it's taken, characters can be crippled but can still slowly walk as if normal but with a limp etc. The show isnt a show set in fallout the concept it's a show set in fallout the game.

As stated by one of the original writers, Vault-Tek's reason for developing vaults with harsh expirements was so they could take the data from them to create a generational ship the survivors could use to leave the planet.

Today I was at a metro station and when I went to the main control center the place was covered in Fallout advertisements, the entrances were Fallout themed, the main control center was Fallout themed. Felt like if I left the station I would see a nuked city, but no I just found shit and piss

What a stupid comment… “The lore doesnt really matter its just fallout” Like…? The lore is what makes these games what they are.

Todd Howard’s contribution was definitely the red rocket scene. “Make sure they see a dogmeat at red rocket just like fallout 4 my baby can’t let people forget they are watching fallout!” 🤤

Walt Goggins deserved an emmy for all seasons of Justified, and I truly hope the success of this finally brings the man his flowers. One of the best actors of the last 15 years.

This show doesn't want to set the world on fire. It just wants to start a flame in everyone's heart.

12:40 - no, the reason we have New Vegas is because Zenimax caught Todd making Skyrim when he was supposed to be working on Fallout 4, so they decided if Todd wanted to make Skyrim so badly they'd bring in a different team to make the (in progress) Fallout 4 and renamed it to New Vegas. It wasn't born of Todd's love, it was born of his neglect.

I liked the way the way the characters sort of stumble upon things in the vaults and read terminal entries like the player would in the games and put all the pieces together. That is what Fallout is about, not just surviving in the wasteland but also figuring out why things went so badly in the Fallout universe in the first place. The characters are great too, nobody is really straight ''good'' or ''bad'' even though they are presented so at first, kind of like the video games. The lines of morality are blurred when safety is a not guaranteed for anyone.

Binged the entire series last 2 days. Amazing show. They did a really good job

Well Todd Howard confirmed the events in the show take place after Fallout New Vegas so there was no retcon like people were claiming.

Can I just say I LOVE how GOOD the props and sets are!? I swear they looked like they were ripped STRAIGHT outta the games! And I swear, during episode 6 when they played the FO3/FO4 theme when she was in that classroom? OOH!! The NOSTALGIA hit me like a Raider in Power Armor named BRICK!

This show taught me that i have an invisible squire with me that changes out my fusion cores for my PA when playing the newer fallout games

Vault-Tec's business is related with data collection and distribution (like most notable corporations in present day) so it's kind of obvious that the each vault is simply designed for a specific group of people to analyze and study when the experiments conclude and the remaining vault populations are thrown out in the wasteland to serve those same people that their ancestors signed their rights off to when they entered into the survival shelter program.

I remember as a 13 year old looking for borderlands 2 at a pawn shop, asked the cashier if New Vegas was similar to it, bought it and shit was gas

You know, it's popular when your mom's telling you about it. I was on the phone with my mom and she was telling me that she's watching a show that she really likes. She was talking about how there was a nuclear war, and I was kind of half listening. Then she mentioned the vault people. I absolutely lost it 😂. You mean fallout, mom? Yeah! Have you watched it yet, she says😅

I'm surprised the TV show had no loading screens every time they opened a door. 🤣
