How to do reverse bay parking driving test manoeuvre - www.driving-school-beckenham.co.uk/essential-drivi…

Driving instructors quite often help you with reversing into a bay by giving you lots of reference points to remember. These reference points will help you pass the driving test, but sometimes don't help you park your own car as reference points aren't the same in all cars.

We have a look at how to reverse bay park using the side mirrors without using any reference points, which some people find easier.

That's such a useful tip to mention that as long as you're near one line (the one closest to you), you don't have to worry about the other one because the car is a fixed width
  • I’ll be practicing this today with my car for the first time. Even after passing my driving test, these videos still help so so much. Thanks for your help.
  • @sinkbro
I'm still 13 and far from going to a driving test, but with my dad in empty or places with little amounts of cars I practice driving. I learned a lot also from these videos when I have questions about something or just need more tips, hopefully will do good on my future driving test. Great videos and useful tips overall 😁
  • @simplyjoecy
I’m currently practicing for my driving test. I’ve done about 25 lessons already, almost there and your videos have been helping a great deal.
  • 4:12 I've heard this tip elsewhere advising that it can change from car to car, but of all the reference points in a car, this is the one that varies not that much from car to car. I always impressed when I align it this way, there's a consistent gap between the front of the car and the front of the bay.
  • @jazelmarie
This is the easiest method. And this is how I park in reverse. Thank you for this.

It's all about distance and angle, many thanks.
  • Just wanted to say a huge thank you for your channel as the videos have really helped me pass my driving test FIRST TIME on Monday with 3 minors, even though I drive automatic! These videos are beyond useful and helpful, which is always my favourite videos to watch even though I’ve passed 😂 I will sure share this channel with my brother who will be learning to drive soon and more friends and family. Again thank you so much! ☺️

So for my test I don’t need to do the 3 line rule for reverse bay parking. I much prefer doing this whenever I have to park and the 3 line rule doesn’t work for the car I use.
  • @lvgio
thank you! i hate reference points as they differ so this is definitely helpful
  • @timmusumba5846
Very educative illustration of how to reverse using the side mirrors. It is very helpful indeed! You should also do a video on how to change lanes using the rear view mirror instead of the side mirrors. I understand there are drivers who prefer using the rear view mirror to change lanes or to over take!

    非常棒!谢谢!我非常喜欢这个主要观察停车位侧的侧面后视镜的方法。
