Bay parking manoeuvre - 45-degree method UK driving test www.driving-school-beckenham.co.uk/bay-parking-45-…

How to do bay parking using the 45-degree method. You can use this reverse bay parking technique on your UK driving test and is a driving test manoeuvre that you can practice during your driving lessons.

Reverse bay parking is safer than forward bay parking as you'll have a better view when driving forward out of it, especially if you have parked vehicles on either side of you.

You might not have to do this manoeuvre on your driving test as it depends on the driving test centre.

All reference points shown may look different for you as they vary depending on what car you're driving, your height and seat position.

This video includes:

I passed my driving test 5 months ago and my instructor taught me the 90 degree, but in the real world this way of parking is much better and more practical, quicker too.
  • @bluefilmsltd
This is a great technique. I used to do 90 degrees, but I find it is hit and miss whereas the 45 degree technique is quite easy to use.

I use this method only when the traffic is busy. In a quiet traffic, I prefer to use the traditional (90 degree) method, because it gives me more time to do reverse maneuver which I enjoy. Thanks again for your video on the traditional method; I learn much, especially the reference points.
