Omg, this was awesome. Laura was so well-versed in the Hobonichi covers, I can see she did research on them, on previous editions and as well as the newer/current ones. I wish they brought back the covers with the back slit AND the cover and cover that allow you access to that back pocket. I wish there was also a part 2 of all other covers that Laura collected, there were so many! And have her also talk about the accessories and anything Hobonichi!

What a great episode! I also look at my stuff not as a collection so I don’t fall into the trap of making things pristine & use them. The word “collection” gets used just so other people can understand & having memories with it is what makes it precious.

I only recently became aware of the depressed egg yolk character Gudetama, and I think that would be a great Hobo collab. Laura, this was great! I love knowing so many of us collect these quality covers and accessories! And, man oh man, the last minute or so of overflowing Hobonichi products on that table!!!! 🤤🥰 We need more fabric cat covers!!! And if anyone has the Beatles Blackbird cover from 2018 to sell, in excellent condition, let's chat. 💚

Ugh that was so fun to watch! Thanks for schlepping your whole collection Laura! My favorite cover is the Steiff collab… maybe it’s weird but I have the A6 version and the butterfly closure makes it look like a deconstructed mohair teddy bear. I work in the toy biz so it feels very relevant to me. Other than that, I’m a big Mina Perhonen fan, sadly for my wallet!

This was such a great video! My secret wish is that Hobonichi will one day collaborate with Toby Fox for a cover, since Undertale and Deltarune have so much in common with the MOTHER series.

This was so amazing to see, thank you Laura!! I'm also a gamer, although I haven't played Mother/Earthbound yet (it's been on my list!), it's so cool to see all these covers and to hear about the history behind them. I also definitely just ordered the Ask Iwata book 😅 haha, thank you for sharing that tidbit of Hobonichi being a part of it! <3

Love the collection video series so far and enjoyed Laura's stories of her hobonichi journey. Would have loved to hear her share about the other non-Mother covers too. I think Hobonichi removed the years from their cover labels after they decided to keep their covers from previous years in the store, together with new releases. In the past, they would only put up new covers for the year in the store and archive all the ones from previous year.
