I run a BBQ joint in central Ecuador. We made a small batch today to give to customers as a trial run. Dude, this is AWESOME. Being someone that has a tendency to put too many ingredients into the food, this very simple ingredient list and the kick of the lime rocks. Thank you so much.

As a Canadian, I had a super lucky opportunity to learn about authentic Mexican cooking from good family friends from Corpus Christi, who stayed with us for 6-8 weeks when I was 11 or 12.. she explained guac as something simple that was avo w lime and a couple scoops of fresh pico (w garlic).. it's just all it takes

You know it’s gonna be a good recipe when that music comes on baby, looks great!

The lime zest is one I'll have to try. I prefer fresh jalapenos instead of pickled. Looks great and will have to try it out.

Anything else is just toppings. If they want tomatoes add some pico. ❤

I make mine just like that, but dice up some green apple......great texture and a nice fresh addition.

Says he likes it simple, yet he put lime zest and pickled jalapeno brine in there. Looks delicious, but don't think I'd call it "simple" haha

Smoked brined jalapeños, confit garlic (and its oil), burnt onion.. not that simple lol. Sounds delicious

I agree with you on the tomatoes, however... I ❤ cumin in my guacamole. To each is own :)
