This model was also used in Nigeria in the 60 and 70s during the years of marketing board e.g. Cocoa, Oil Palm and Cotton marketing boards across the regions. They support farmers with seedlings, equipment and grants and then buy the produce from them for grading and export. Introduction of IMF backed SAP killed our agricbusiness.

We need this kind of partnership. This is generational shift. Ideas using technology and maximizing potential. Imagine if we partner with his company especially in the North. Damn this guy wants to have control over veggie supply chain Nigeria. That is why he is offering free training to the youths and making them involve for free and by doing that he is going to earn their loyalty and those young folks will sell their harvest to only him. That's how he will have control.

This is a great idea. Kudos to all the hardworking youths. Nigerian youths are not lazy after all. What we need is good, selfless and purposeful leadership. However, it is hoped that the challenges which killed similar agricultural projects in the past will not be allowed to affect this one. 🙏🙏
