South Africa is clearly more developed than Nigeria based on various important metrics. But why isn't Nigeria as developed? I discuss this in detail in this video.

Nigerians feel they are attacked on the comment section i don't know why , because theirs response are negative... its a fact that South Africa it doing good in many ways than Nigeria whether we achieved all of those things because of colonizers or what it doesn't change that SA is much better
  • @nox6885
36 000 Nigerians living in South Africa is straight up not true. It's much much more than that. Heck, I probably know 36 000 Nigerians by my damn self 😂😂😂.
  • @NinohBrown
Its simple Nigerians are not patriotic about Nigeria as South Africans are patriotic about their country. Nigeria has millionaires in Nigeria and in the Nigerian diaspora but none of them seem to be contributing to the development of Nigeria, beside popping bottles. If it were South Africans playing football in numbers in EPL/la liga trust me most of that money would be coming back to SA to build. The reason South Africa seems to be developed its simply because active citizens and patriotism. How many African leaders would have done what Mandela did by stepping down voluntarily as president of the country?? And how many countries in Africa change political power peacefully? If you want to know why Nigeria is less developed check its leadership. I can make you an example of Rwanda thats building a world class tourist country or Namibia thats building the best road network in Africa even better than SA its all about leadership

Am Nigerian the problem is that we refuse to accept that we are poor and do the right thing honestly i wish i was from another better country not Nigeria the Muslim government in power are too corrupt my advice to you south Africans is that you guys should watch your Muslim population dont let it grow too much or they will destabilize your economy with terrorism.. the problem with Nigeria is corruption they government dont care about us😢
  • @mmmotives7452
Patriotic Alliance must help us keep South Africa safe!
  • @thandisilec835
We SouthAfricans compare our country with similarly developing countries of the world which have similar level of infrastructural development and income class to us and those countries comparable to South Africa are sadly not in Africa. We compare ourselves with likes of Turkey, Mexico, Malaysia and Brazil Also can rest of continental Africans stop the envy towards a better developed South Africa ,by always trying to give credit for SA’s infrastructural advancement to white SAns…your jealousy is showing😂 SA has had a majority Black government for last 30years which has kept the country developing (even as the government has been bitterly disappointing). SA just has better governance and better institutions that implement checks and balances, than rest of Africa and that’s why it’s better developed than and functions better than rest . Closest African countries to SA’s development are Morocco and Namibia, Nigeria isn’t even close to where SA is…to get there they need to fix their country. You need to hold your Nigeria gov accountable or you’ll forever be skipping borders to get to SA, US, UK etc. Even the load shedding you’re talking about, it’s gone as we fix our power supply…we have one of the largest electricity generating power grids in the Southern Hemisphere (largest grid in Africa), it’s like 9 times that of Nigeria’s whilst SA’s population is almost 5 times smaller than Nigeria, so go figure. Our rural villages have electricity and running communal water…this didn’t exist 30years ago, yes our under performing Black majority government did that…over 90% electricity access in whole country and it will get to 100% in time
  • You guys need to stop comparing south Africa to Nigeria, as south African we are tired of getting hates from Nigerian or other African countries, we want to be a mystery, compare Nigeria to other west African countries
  • @moabimaloka2294
White people cannot get all the credit black South Africans also contributed towards South Africa's development we the 2010 FIFA world cup for example was hosted under the government of the black ANC government of Jacob Zuma so it's incorrect to give only one tribe credit for the development of the country Anyway nice video will good research
  • I haven't found a video where it's a SAcan doing comparison. It's always someone from another African country. South Africans when are you doing your own comparisons....😅
  • South Africans are not bragging people. There are many black millionaires even in PSL players for example from Sundowns. Wealthy Millionaires in Rugby Springboks, Siya ❤❤🎉Kolisi partners with Quatar Airways in World Rugby for starters. The media pushes it's own agenda which helps South Africans to always work harder. Media put everything negative out there. South Africa Phila (Stay Strong) the Beloved County❤❤❤
  • Great video with useful information! As a Nigerian who has lived in South Africa my fellow Nigerians always argue with me when I tell them that South Africa is way more developed than Nigeria. Nigeria's first problem is bad leadership and lack of patriotism. Nobody cares and they sabotage the country massively for personal gains. The only time nigerians are truly patriotic is when the super eagles are playing and even at that people aren't as enthusiastic as they used to be. South Africa also has a better human rights record (post apartheid) and accountability which is one of the key factors that hamper or aid development in any country. In Nigeria the president, governors etc can do as they please and there are no consequences due to the lack of accountability. In South Africa the president cannot do whatever he likes! Mbeki and Zuma did not finish their terms but in Nigeria that would never happen no matter what they did! A South African friend of mine who lives in Nigeria ( one of the few) once told me that Buhari wouldn't have lasted for more than 3 days in office in South Africa! We need to stop lying to ourselves that we are the giant of Africa. I get upset every time I hear Nigerians say that because it only encourages complacency!
  • South Africa🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦 is the largest manufacturing/Industrial base of the whole African continent considering its strategic geographical location at the tip of Atlantic ocean and Indian ocean which is the most important trading routes to south America's and east asia. Many nations consume bulk of South African made goods/services both Ecowas and Eac region also we are the largest foreign direct investors in Africa and nigeria, particular in strategic sectors of nigerian market/economy Retail(Shoprite etc),Telecommunications(MTN),Media(Multichoice Dstv),Pharmaceuticals(Aspen),Logistics(Imperial),Insurance(Sanlam/Discovery) and Banking(Stanbic Ibtc etc) in nigeria alone we've invested 500million dollars FDI In 2022, totalling South African investments in nigeria alone worth over 45billion dollars,South Africa is a leader of the African continent its geopolitical power and influence in multilateral organizations such as UN security council,BRICS and G20 can be felt .Without any doubt S.A is African powerhouse and most advance nation of Africa.

As much as its a fact colonizers have a role in this,i refuse to use that as an excuse.Nigeria is a mess fitst because of the kind of leaders it has.
  • @gelaben26
Thank you, very insightful using credible sources
  • @our10picks18
And over 110 million Nigerians are living below the poverty line!
  • @user-jx6zs9yt3x
The🇿🇦 best GDP numbers were achieved under black rule(Mr Thabo Mbeki),won the host rights for Fifa world cup, built the 2nd largest black middle class on earth, blacks introduced democracy to the country, access to healthcare, education, economy etc for all citizens, even the infrastructure during apartheid was built and put in place by black people under white directive, our people laid their lives, blood & sweat including in mines,Black South Africans Built SA🇿🇦❤💰
  • The problems Nigeria faces are overpopulation and a wayward culture where corruption permeates all aspects of society. Uganda is heading in the same direction; overpopulation coupled with dishonesty. West Africa, East Africa, and Central Africa really need to do some cultural examining to understand and address where their culture is failing them.
  • @MAR-vs3vf
Namibia has the 2nd largest stock exchange. Not Nigeria
  • South Africa is larger than Nigeria &Ghana&Benin Combined but has only 62 Million people including 8 Million foreigners, Nigeria has over 200 million with extremely high population growth how do you grow your economy like this
