"She never gets old. Marcy cannot be real." Love that line and delivery.

The best way to go into this movie is going in blind - knowing absolutely nothing. It’s how I did it and my mind was blown. I love this movie

Heartbreaking. Anyone who has ever known or loved someone with serious mental illness understands this.

Give her credit for staying with him when so many others would've left.

The way Russell Crowe behaves with his eyes in this scene makes his hallucination of Parcher even more terrifying. Plus, it makes no sense for Charles to demand that John do what Parcher says. The delusions of Parcher, Marcee, and Charles are out of sync with each other due to John's paranoia. He was brilliant to figure out that Marcee never ages. He used his own mental fortitude to overcome his illness.

This movie broke my heart. So many schizophrenics suffer immensely, and there's no cure.

I loved the realness. The sadness. The sickness. So tragically sad. How I cried.

The soundtrack/theme for this scene is absolutely amazing with the added piano dissonance theme to reflect Nash's current mental state of breakdown. Absolutely amazing scene

I was in theater for this and was petrified when I saw "about to be drowned baby". That scene was extremely cruel and powerful.

As someone who saw a friend from my school days become schitzophrenic in his early 20s this is a incredibly hard film to watch and even this scene is choking me up. Mental illness is a killer because my old friend is no longer the person I once knew.
  • My brother suffers from schizophrenia. He always tells me about his imaginery friend named Carlos who helps him in his studies.
