I have watched over the years, your welding going from " welded by a blind man using his feet" to now, setting down , confident, and putting out some great headers and other projects. You learned by looking, listening and most importantly, doing. (the only way!)
-
The easiest solution for the water pump situation may be to just delete the mechanical pump with an idler and run a remote electric water pump. The Pierburg CWA400 is the baddest water pump you can get right now(kicks the shit outta your typical aftermarket electric water pumps, Department Of Boost has test data on their website), and it's actually an OEM factory water pump on BMWs and some other newer cars. Ford has also used this as the water pump on the Cobra Jet Mustangs since 2016 too I believe. Love to see more progress, especially on THOSE two projects!

I welded magnesium once. ONCE. Got paid alot. Spent hours building inert gas tent around the piece. Cautionary, long pair of tongs first TIG spark. God we are dumb in our younger days. Just HAPPY to have my hands. 🙄❤

Joe, seems like the kind of neighbor that would come over in a heartbeat to help you out if you got stuck on your project somewhere. 👍

discussing car purchcase idea with wife - its practically finished, it'll be a snap and its fairly cheap... I'll slap an engine in it and just go racing on the weekend for certain races... probably take about 1-2 weeks to get it running, I already have everything to finish it...

Good to see progress on the Caddy. Too bad about the Lexus, you win some and you lose some. Thanks for the video.
-
Damn Mike you need a shop like really bad dude but I do like the quaintness and nostalgia of the basement shop!
-
Well i'm happy yall found the chassis is complete garbage before racing and potentially crashing it!
-
Most definitely do it again brother I absolutely love your work bud yall do an awesome job
-
Fin, those frickin' headers are a work of art! You should be SO proud of them! One step closer to fun and glory! I can't wait for the first road trip... I know I'm a total outlier here, but I miss the mailbag videos. I know people gave you shit about them, but I liked it! It was interesting to see the things people send you. By the way, those are some bitchin' welding gloves!🤘❤️🙂🇨🇦

Wow what a bodge job they did on that Lexus. I thought that guy was meant to be well known in the drag racing community. It looks like he slapped it together like that for a quick sale which is not something you want to see for a drag car. Probably a good thing you bought it because at least it's going to be fixed right and made safe. These 2 cars are going to be an awesome pair in the garage when they are all done. It's kinda funny that the old car is luxury cruising and the new car is a full on stripped back race car, usually it's the other way around
-
Lol I keep forgetting about the C2 63 split window corvette. Although I think that hood is from a 66 vette big block car
-
We need more on the corvette. I had one for 27 years wish I still had it.
-
Thanks Mike !!! I never win anything and an autographed hat hell ya!!
-
Mike, I'm surprised you don't have something like the MaxxJacks two post lift. It uses threaded bosses in the concrete instead of studs and a portable pump with quick connect hoses so you can use it in multiple locations in the garage and move it into a corner when not in use.

Glad to see progress on the Caddy. It's been quite a while since seeing it at MCR.
-
The 61 Caddy is my favorite project of yours by far. So cool. I have a white 65 New Yorker 2 dr/ht that’s too nice to cut up, this one satisfies my urge.
-
Definitely getting closer 🎉🎉🎉❤❤
-
Yes!!!! Do this again, I really enjoy your channel!!

Thanks for going back to 30 minute videos!
