To all those who complain about this wonderful man with his perfect soothing voice and occasionally being in the camera shot, sod off. A beautiful painting again Stuart. Thankyou so much for letting us into your life 💚

I have painted for most of my life, usually more detail in my landscapes. Now at 73 I have macular Degeneration, this method will help me to continue doing what I love and free up my brushwork, less is more and your never too old to learn or change techniques, thank you Stuart.

Another beautiful painting with fabulous commentary. My one complaint... stop apologizing for your camera, microphone, or having your arm in the way. Treat the negative comments the same way you do the ones about a sky only being blue or talking “too much”. You are allowing us to see your technique, allowing us into your world. We are privileged guests! Yes, the negative nellies can sod off.

You have an absolutely wonderful male voice , and a beautiful personality. Your technique and paintings are gorgeous ! Stay as you are !

Free lessons, easy to watch, easy to listen to, simple, intelligent explanations of techniques taken from years of professional and personal experience - what's not to love and appreciate? Cheers Stuart, this came at the right time I'm struggling with sky and clouds at the moment.
  • People shouldn’t be complaining about your right shoulder being in the way. We should all be grateful to have you teach us in this free video. God bless us all for the good , the bad & the criticles.🌻

I usually skip through videos when people are talking unless it’s something I’m REALLY interested in. I couldn’t bring myself to skip through this! I could watch and listen to you all day!! So humble, reassuring, and eloquent. I’m definitely a subscriber! Thanks so much for making my day!
  • @CaraWeston
I’m glad YouTube suggested that viral illusion of detail video; that was how I discovered your channel! I enjoy your commentary very much. Eons ago in a college art class we were given the assignment of doing a landscape of the view outside the classroom. I think we used crayons. I decided to make the sky a yellowish color. The teacher gave me an A.
  • ~ I showered in goosebumps when the trees started to take the shapes ... Thank you , sir ...
  • @cherilynne1946
Skies never cease to surprise and delight me. I’m absolutely addicted to them. I very nearly feel the same about trees. Large, ancient trees silence me with their majesty. Thank you, Mr. Davies, for sharing your painting process. I’m inspired and renewed.

..i like how you push paint around..been pushing paint around myself for going on 61-62 years...parents said i was born with a brush in my hand..lol..close..it was one of my dads pencils....so, they gave me a watercolour set along with my first box of crayons..and a colouring book, for my 2nd birthday..then promptly forgot about me...so..i left the book on the table & took my supplies & a fistfull of paper towels out to the porch..where i proceeded to create a masterpeice on the glass of the door (i had that idea when i used to draw in the frost & mum would use paper towels to wipe it away)....a few hours later they found me...mum said, well..at least it wasn't the walls..dad however...was..thrilled..he took pictures...and would not let anyone touch it for months...it dissolved literally overnight when the weather turned colder.....life is strange, enit

Beautifully executed Stuart! A creative Triumph! We're so fortunate to have an artist of your creative ability, willing to share and teach. Thank you!!!
  • Stuart, they have never seen a Texas sky before a tornado! The sky has the most amazing greenish color - so dramatic! Good job as always!
  • Beautiful painting again ... and the talking is a huge part of your videos... while many people on YT have jarring voices, poor grammar, and/or rattle on inanely about nothing... you certainly do not!!! I usually watch your videos twice in quick succession and then a third time a few days later. My first watch is with the sound off just for the pure enjoyment of seeing a painting emerge like magic... it also makes me aware of what I don't know/understand... the ''why did he do that?'' phase if you like. Second is definitely sound on, and that's when those ''Ah! That's why he did that!'' moments happen. For me then, the 3rd time without sound is for pure relaxing enjoyment, but it's also where I find out if I have remembered and understood exactly why, what, how you achieved your beautiful painting. Haters are going to hate; critics are going to criticise; but ''quite frankly my dear, I don't give a damn'' about them... and nor should you!!! Massive thanks for sharing your knowledge and artistry. :)
  • @sukihitz291
What a wonderful video!!! I truly enjoy your narratives. Your calming voice reduces any qualms about trying your techniques. I have never had a problem with your microphone...no popping, etc. I will be painting along with this one! Thank you for sharing your knowledge and your anecdotes with us!! Looking forward to more!❤️😊🎨💜👩‍🎨
  • @gombert07
I was just thinking how soothing this gentleman voice is... I enjoyed watching the art emerge , being drawn in more with each stroke.. Beautifully done.. loving the dramatics of contrast uniting into a harmonized feast for eye appeal.
  • @jimthompson2836
Yes, I do try to paint with you....often have to back-up the video to listen to nuances in your description. Great experience and so instructive. Thank you!
  • thanks Stuart, you're doing fine as for filming, don't change anything.
  • @susanmorgan953
In answer to your question, yes, I have painted "along" with you...I have to pause the video a lot, to keep up, more or less. And my results are certainly not your quality, but I'm learning! I am always amazed by your painting process, and your paintings.
  • @mcmlxi1961
How people can be irritated by the sound of your voice due to the microphone. The voice is great and the sound too!!! People should focus on the beauties of your paintings and the way how you explain us this wonderful art. Grazie Maestro!
