Two counter points,
On Fort I like the scout class for the spotting flare, and tripwires for the tight passages. SMLE or 1903 experimental depending on my aim that day. Being able to spot those large groups for the team to put accurate grenades on is amazing. Also, a lot of people walk into them.
Second, medic is fantastic. Syringe, rifle grenades, smoke or incendiary and you're a huge part of the frontline force, especially if you get good with your rifle grenades, and the self loading rifles. -
