SB19 - GENTO (First Take Performance) First Reaction

Yesss!!!! Other groups not even close. I watched taehyung from BTS doing this First Take, the moment he was using audio as the background adlips and not rearranging the song to suit his live, I clicked to another channel. Because Avril Lavigne had done The First Take with acoustic, and she was fire! You do not need a back-up audio ad-lips all the time especially when doing live alone. And I'm sure if Stell and Pablo were given the opportunities to do theirs individually, they would definitely improvised their performances. I am still a big fan of BTS though and Taehyung has a very good tone. However, for live performances, improvisioning the musical sound and natural voice abilities or ranges, SB19 is the maestro. They are legit. They could do performances imprompto without any help or robotic well-planned choreos or directions. I hope SB19 could go further internationally. And I hope the radio stations in my country will turn their heads to play other South East Asian songs, like S19, not just from the mainstream western artists.

Couldn't agree with you more the beat switch was unnecesaary but it made it more exciting to the ears. TBH, Ilaw was one of my first pick for them to perform but this version of GENTO is 🔥🔥🔥 .. with the new arrangement and the use of drum bass and snares gave it more new feel and taste and highlighted more of their vocal prowess. KEN was singing the whole time in this track. He was the backing vocals of his braders. And Pablo is raining growls from beginning to end. Justin was on point everytime. Josh and Stell's adlibs will make u move in all certain ways. Just like what Pablo said in the beginning "ITADAKIMASU!" They invited everyone to eat wirh them. They were hungry, they ate it and left no crumbs! Been on replay loop for more than 24 hours now since TFT release it .. a total eargasm .. This is indeed one of their best if not THE BEST Gento perf. Ken's bass vocal all through out the song, Pablo 's ad libs, Stell's high note, Josh's swag, Justin's clear inunciation and vocals plus the beat change. WTH 😱🤯

The whole premise of the show is to expose the singers raw vocals, so they embraced that challenge and stripped down the arrangement. Love it so much.

The vocals are so clear and clean. Each one of them has distinct voice and special characteristic that when combined all together make it perfect.I've watched some performances at TFT, most artists seem nervous, theyre serious and focus but SB19 is so confident, just chilling and having fun, and still able to smile and project infront of the camera.
