How to get Unlimited Gold Bars at Early Game | Red Dead Redemption 2

The Original exploit was PATCHED over 2 years ago..But can still be done on Version 1 before any patches. On the newest patch you will only get 2 bars at best.

5/18/23 it still worked for me but it took a bunch of tries. You have to pause at the EXACT moment he touches the bar.

I noticed you didn't go back for the third time because when I tried to go back for the third time it wasn't there but it did work for two gold bars

I just did this but I returned after the first save and every time I took a bar another immediately spawned, got 30 and couldn't cary any more, now to try and fence them then return lol. Oh and for anyone interested I'm playing on PS4 June 2023 but did not update the game, just running it without Internet updates as I know this has been patched if your playing with an updated version.

Q for more experienced RDR2 players: I raided a Murphy Brood camp site one night and as the second wave of enemies showed up i accidentally stumbled upon a random rock, a small one a few feet from the camp, that offered an INSPECT prompt. I smashed X and discovered a GOLD INGOT. Later, I accidentally got my horse killed dead by a train and re-loaded the previous save to get him back. Dumb move! Of course i lost the gold and now I'm like "how do I re-trigger that random event?" Lol I want that hidden gold bar. I've never seen any YT video mention a hidden gold bar under a rock at an Murfee brood camp site. Anybody else catch this?

I think they stopped it I try 4 times and it does not let you save the game it only goes to the map even if you select the save location before hand

Turn off auto save most important thing I was able to just keep on looting gold bars till Maxx out cap with but with John I have to load reload to make it work pain in the ass

I found if you close the box and go back to it a couple of weeks later(game time), there's another gold bar there. Did that any number of times.

Whatever happened to the one where the money just stays instantly respawning and all you had to do was rubberband your button down and get unlimited dollars? I'm playing this on ps5 now so I can't just Lenny Mod this and get unlimited dollars which sucks.

Worked for me today as of 13/4/2024 on the PS5. Got two bars from it but I’ll gladly take two bars over one.

I have a PlayStation four and I paused it at the exact moment I grabbed it and returned back after saving and loading, and it was just the envelope in the box. No gold bar. They must’ve fixed it at least for PlayStation 4. Also, I purchased this 2022.

For some reason I had to ride across the river to the west tho other direction didn't work.

You need to have 1.0 version of the game for this to work ,don't bother if you have updated the game

This hasn't worked for me in a while and still doesn't. The 2nd bar used to show up but was immoveable now it doesn't show up at all. The van horn glitch still works though.
