Gifted with precognitive Force visions, over a decade before the outbreak of the Clone Wars, Jedi Master Sifo-Dyas, who had a seat on the Jedi High Council prior to the occupation of Naboo, commissioned the Kaminoans to grow a clone army for the Galactic Republic. The Jedi Master had experienced visions of the galaxy being ravaged by a coming war, but when he attempted to warn his fellow Jedi about it, his colleagues on the Council didn’t believe him and when the Jedi Master wouldn’t let go of his notions, the Order removed him from the High Council. Certain in the veracity of the visions the Force had revealed to him,Sifo-Dyas instead decided to pursue the matter on his own in secret. He believed the Republic would need an army of their own to prevail against the coming darkness. So, pretending to work under the authorization of the Jedi Council and the Galactic Senate, Sifo-Dyas made contact with the Kaminoan cloners, and asked them to create the Grand Army of the Republic for him. However, unknown to the Jedi Master, the Sith had become aware of his project and they began to engineer events so control of the clones would fall to them instead.

Kinda cool how both him and anakin got a glimpse of the future and both wanted to prevent it but ended up being the cause of the chaos in the end.
  • Star Wars Theory is like the one character in Star Wars that has witnessed & seen everything & is telling the stories to young people around a campfire.

The Jedi, they always mean well, but create their own destruction
  • @DomCobb1
Wow, Hiroyuki Sanada is perfect as Sifo Dyas
  • I recall in the Darth Plagueis book, that Darth Plagueis planted the seed for Syfo to build the clone army during the recess of the debate being held on Serenno. Hego Damask discussed cloning...

I would like to see a video about "What if the father didn't delete Anakins Memory on Mortis"
  • The jedi may have been the "good guys" for the most part, but the high council and others were so jaded and stubborn. If they had believed in Syfo they may have been able to prevent the massacre of the jedi and maybe defeat the Sith. I understand as well that the dark side clouded their feelings but clearly the Jedi were corrupted in more ways than one.

I really pictured sifo-dyas as a hispanic man. I thought it was sifo Diaz 😂
  • @macwelch8599
The Jedi who single-handley destroyed the entire galaxy
  • I knew Sifo Dyas was important but man this is a cool character he was a young Jedi that went on adventures predicted the clone wars was kicked from the council then when he tried to prepare the galaxy anyway he was killed by his once best friend

A movie about Count Dooku, Qui Gon, and Obi Wan before Episode 1.

Thanks for coveraging SD. He's the most interesting Jedi of that area that we never see. A story of the tragedy that happens when your friend chooses the dark side.

The jedi council members are always so ignorant and arrogant...
  • @naka-yubi
Love how you put all this together.. like the completion of a jigsaw puzzle

So the person who placed the order for the clone army was Sifo-Dyas (Si-Dyas/Sidious). That can't be a coincidence. Maybe in Attack of the Clones the name was originally just meant to be a reference to Palpatine.
