The Jedis lack of consideration of emotions, and general ban for attachment is the reason palpatine was able to groom Anakin and the reason for their downfall. He is not evil. He is from a species that has two brains, make them analyse and contrasict each other and most of his conclusions are only logical. They are basically devoid of emotions, they are purely rational. Throw in some codes of conduct and dogmas and u get a perfect fit for a jedi. His actions are but the nature of his species. He was born that way. He was a good jedi.
