This blade is oustanding...another favorite OTF knife.  I still love those fun Lightnings but if you want speed and a good steel, check out the Benchmade Turmoil.

First 15 seconds made me laugh when you say make sure they aren't an idiot.  My brother has a microtech ultratech for about 10 years now.  So I figured handing him a halo was safe enough to have him use without explanation.  To my horror he holds the knife with the button towards his hand and fires the thing into his palm.  He bled and we both laughed hysterically.

Love the OTFs. Love the TNP knife show. Keep em coming bro.

Hey nutn, just want to let you know that I love the videos you put out, and totally support what you are doing with TNP. Keep up the good work. Rock on, amigo.
  • I just received my black Turmoil with the satin blade yesterday. Wow! This a very cool little knife.

When I got my first Ultratech my thumb was raw for days but it was awesome, well worth the money.

I like how the knives reviewed were operated repeatedly.  For various reasons I will probably never own one of these OTF knifes,  but it's like knowing how to drive a manual transmission...could just come in handy to know. Thanks for the video.
  • I love my Lightning OTF that you introduced me to nutnfancy  .  Only $40 and it has the awesome spring noise that you don't get with an expensive OTF.
  • I go to an aeronautical school. Your such a pilot with the way you care about weight. Lol cracks me up. Not disagreeing with you, just see where it comes from. Anyway great vid as always keep up the good work!

Nut, you are killing me with the knife reviews! I like them to the point that I buy them, then I think I'm obligated to share this awesome knife with my bro and twin bro-inlaws. It's like a 4x's hit on the pocketbook. And then the wife finds out, and she appreciates the blade. Now I'm 5x's in, on hall of fame knives. Truth being told, I love spreading the ideology. Through sharing your vids I have been able to bring others to the light. Thank you!

I got mine yesterday and agree 100% with your assessment. It displaced my Bench Made Osborn as an EDC blade. They do make a FDE version with black blade. I think I waited 3 months for that. Definitely a more affordable OTF.

I just picked up the benchmade CLA4300 Auto and loved it so much I retired my TR3. Lightweight, unlined G10 handles, shoots out with outstanding speed and yes "GIMPing" lol. And at the price point its a home run.

Just picked up the rare desert tan with black blade version this week. I'd like to see a OD green with black blade version too in the future. These are a great value and hold up well. Quite a few LEOs carry them as a backup in their side tactical pants pocket. I know a farmer who carries one daily in his bib overalls front top pocket. He uses it pretty hard too and it still is working almost two years later. No problem if it quits, he'll just have a local FFL send it back for him to get repaired and you can buy a new replacement blade from Benchmade/HK for less than $50 at the time of this writing. I'm thinking $29-$40ish if I'm not mistaken.

I have one and carry every day and use it daily for all things and being I am an electrician you can guess I use it a bunch. I have been running it for about a year now and its great. Yet, your right the edge sucks but it's not hard to fix and keep it sharp and use it for work. It's a great knife and is so convenient to use and I feel so much safer using it than a normal pocketknife.
