Heavy wrecker to the rescue. That’s one for the books.
-
You had to really work for that one Casey! That is a very heavy truck and the mud had no bottom. You got the job done! Thanks for taking us along and of course thumbs UP!! 👍💯
-
Slippery slop just too wet, hard work gets 'er done. Great job. Good to see the mighty 5 ton working, it's an awesome rig.

some people playing in the sand and some people doing real work^^

Right man with right experience and right equipment got the job done. Real world recovery. Thanks Casey.

5tons were the work horse of the Marines back in the day when I was in. We made them do things we knew they weren’t designed for, but they ALWAYS the job done. Way to go Casey!!
-
Mr Casey That was a tough pull but like always you got it. Thanks for sharing and stay safe

Back in the '80s, in the Army, I 'owned' an XM816 Wrecker. When the video started, I was looking at something else...until I heard that NHC-250 cranking! OH MY! Flashbacks! Kudos on splitting the transfer case...I learned that little trick towing vehicles up, down, and around the little streets in German 'dorfs.' I'm thinking that my old wrecker would have pulled that truck right out on to the road (in the first pull you did) simply because of the weight of the rotator over the back wheels. OTOH, it HATED mud like that! BECAUSE of the weight of that rotator assembly, if I got into mud like that, I was done...recovering myself!

That was tedious, challenging and difficult; with a lot of mud and muck, & a very heavy vehicle to recover. Finally it breaks free & "both' land on pavement. The owners are lucky Casey has the vehicles, skill & gear to get him out. (Big ropes, big soft shackles, impressive).

We are On the Road Again, this time in the Mighty 5 ton to recover a drill rig in the Virgin Oil Fields. This area turns to soup with just a little rain, but we have had months of rain. Can the big Off Road 5 Ton get the job done? Am I going to have to call in the Big Boys from SG3 Towing or Get Hooked to bring a real Wrecker to help get this job knocked out? Jump in and let's see if the 5 ton can make it happen! Thanks to Freedom Ropes for the monster ropes and soft shackles for the 5 ton! for Watching Casey

The 5 ton may struggle but she's a beast love watching her do her thing,

Classic example of when a d-11 comes in handy!

You are putting it to good use. I have a feeling it could flat tow 2-3 of those Off Road wreckers in a tug-o-war that I've seen recently! 👍👍👍👍
-
Those drillin' rigs are some heavy machines! The 5 Ton did great with it!
-
