I don’t understand how we can’t find a cure for MGD. This is a life changing issues.
  • @peppapig807
I had a feeling that the heat + pressure on the eyeball can't be good for the cornea, but other doctors told me that the blurriness is just caused by the excess oils. I always suspected it was something more, though

I just bought the Tranquileyes XL. The heat packets didn't fit precisely and so I could never get them to seat evenly and close enough to my eyes. More importantly, they were only lukewarm. My thermometer gun measured no more than 90F. I returned them.
  • Someone says that TearRestore isn't effective like a standard warm compress that covers the eye too, but the standard one puts too much pressure. So a solutionđź’ˇ would be to create two spaces for the eyes by sewing🧵🥽 the standard mask so that the mask will keep covering the eyes, but without putting too much pressure. What do you think?

Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us, doctor! I’ve also been wanting to get the tear restore mask, and I look forward to watching your video on it. I hope you could also talk about if the heat it provides is moist heat or dry heat;)
  • @MicheleLeeMD

  • I've been using cornea care self-heating disposable eye masks Your thoughts?
  • I have very dry eyes and have had two corneal transplants in my late teens I am 47 now. I use natural tears and restates eye drops. Hot cloth compresses help but affects don’t last. Also for the last month my eye lids have start twitching. I did a cloth hot on eyelids and it helped but in a minute or so the twitching came back. What is the best compress for me?
  • @Kate-ue9gf
What do you think about using a face steamer instead of warm compresses. I tried it and seems to be ok. It’s warmer than the compress and it’s moist and your steaming your face as well. I use it a couple times a day and so far seems ok. But do you think steam can be harmful to eyes although my eyes are closed?
  • @Liger11111
Whats best way to massage your eyes when ur eye lashes are very weak?
  • OMG I thought the blurred vision after doing a warm compress was just from sweat - wish they'd tell you they can damage your eyes! Throws away
  • @plumeria66
Thank you. How long does it take to get the oil out of the ducts? Weeks or months? Or am I supposed to do it every day for the rest of my life? I have one on the upper lid and one on the lower lid. On right eye.
  • @valc1643
Have you tried the RENPHO mask? If so, does it reach the right temperature and is there a risk to the eyes? I would greatly appreciate if you could give me your opinion. Thanks!
