If you were at the 2021 Once Upon a Time in LA music festival, you were there to watch live performances and have a good time.
But for Drakeo the ruler, his night went differently…
Drakeo arrived at the Banc of California Stadium in his Rolls Royce Dawn to perform in his hometown. After which his entourage of six men and one security guard were searched and stripped of any weapons.
At around 8:30 pm, Drakeo was backstage chilling with his homies when someone yelled,
“f*** the Stinc team.”
And that's when it all began…

I was there. We were all waiting for YG to go up next. I was towards the front at the main stage. We saw the lights of ambulance and police roll up off the main Street adjacent to backstage area where the main stage was. We couldn’t hear any commotion. Everyone was waiting for the show to continue and the people running the concert never made any announcements about anything. We knew something was goin mostly because the police helicopter showed up and kept circling. Then the lights and the helicopter dipped. They started breaking down YG’s set and just playing music on shuffle it seemed like. People jumped on twitter and that’s how word in the crowd started to spread about what was going on. People were already saying he had been killed. A lot of us that found out started to leave the area because we knew the show was over while others stayed waiting. The other second stage was still going at the time when we were walking out because we could hear the music still.

Oh man. The morning we lost tha ruler hit me hard. I don’t even be feeling the deaths of “celebs” but drakeos felt like I knew him. We gotta stop putting the hood on a pedestal smh. Being real and a thug won’t mean shit If you’re gone, them cool points don’t mean nada in the graveyard. Get some money, get up out the hood, and don’t ever return. Don’t even drive past it on some nostalgic shit. & cut everybody off that can’t get with the program. You don’t have to bang to get got, your affiliations can land you a death sentence.
