"no, I'm getting bullied by a tween, I'm an EMPLOYEE" is one of the most relatable things I have ever heard from Kurtis

Don't forget a kid got stabbed at disney and they didn't allow paramedics into the park because it would 'ruin the fantasy' for the other guests, so they had a nurse from the park drive him to the hospital in her private car and he died on the way because they got stuck in traffic
  • I think the deepest level of the iceberg is wanting your ashes scattered at Disney knowing full well they'll just vacuum it up and throw you away

Not to one up, you're so right about companies giving their employees dumb titles, but "partners" and "cast members" aren't that bad. I worked at taco bell for two years and my official title was ✨service champion✨

there’s the level of disney adult where it’s like, “yeah i own a set of mickey mouse measuring spoons i got as a gift” and then there’s “this is my multi million dollar collection of disney themed items and i go in to debt on a yearly basis so i can go to disney”
  • Employees at Disney are called cast-members to remind everyone that you’re part of the show, so you better hold back those tears and force a smile as a kid throws up on you for the fourth time in a day while standing outside in 100 degree heat 90% humidity.

Can't wait for the video in 20-25 years saying "Skibidi toilet adults"
  • I wouldn’t consider myself a Disney adult, I barely consider myself an adult, but as someone who had to take on a lot of adult responsibility as a child, trying to experience childhood things in a safe and stress free environment as adult is something I 100% relate to, and Disney movies that I grew up with can definitely be part of that comfort.
  • that woman in the golden oaks video is wearing a shirt that said "i run on shakeology", which is a product from the Beach Body MLM. she's literally in a pyramid scheme which i feel like is the most Disney adult thing ever

holy shit I delivered an uber eats order to that neighborhood and obviously there’s a security guard at the gate but once I got the pass to go in he literally gave me the passcode to a SECOND GATE further inside the community past the actual BRONZE STATUES OF THE LITTLE MERMAID and god damn it felt like an episode of Black Mirror

My aunt works at Disney, and has for probably 40ish years? She’s probably the definition of a Disney adult. Every wall of her home is decorated with memorabilia, and she has an insane collection of every snow globe Disney has ever made in these glass display cases. Because my family is lower middle class, and because she had an employee discount, we always had our family vacations at Disney. I definitely still enjoy going to the parks every few years (I don’t have kids), but people can go way overboard. I think sports might be the best analogy. I don’t feel a ton of brand loyalty towards anything, but liking Disney that much is sort of the same as being a huge fan of some sports team and making your whole identity about that team.

my girlfriend is a disney adult and to her, she loves disney because it reminders her of the happy times of her childhood. she's actually working as a cast member right now. i learned alot about the culture from her lol
  • Lady: “Classy Disney” Woody: reclining amicably yet sensually in the corner of the ceiling

the person who said “just go after your dreams” is the type of person to tell a depressed person to just stop being sad
  • @telliex
I'm not even huge on Disney but I think Disneybounding when you go to Disney is fun and sweet. As someone who is into cosplay and drag it's a wonderful way to enjoy the fun on a more personal level
  • Its also important for people to know that not everyone has the ability to go to something like disney world/land whatever when they're little, so going as an adult CAN be emotional! Might seem silly to see but it can be an extreme experience
  • we also have to mention how disney tumblr fans got a man fired because they were so obsessed with him as peter pan that they would chase him in the park and got angry that he got married to the woman who played wendy...
  • @ATRAXXUSA
A horror movie about a family winning the lottery and moving to Golden Oaks is all I can think about now.

Teacher-disney adults are the best. I had one. She was super nice, explanations always included the class, she yelled a lot but I loved it.
