one time, my teacher (ustaz) taught us about polygamy. To finish the class, he ask “who accept men marrying 4 women?”. Most men and few women raise their hand. Then he ask “who accept their dad marrying 4 women?”. The class drop silence. And I believed most men that day realised polygamy is not something you can take lightly.

I’m an orthodox Christian and married and I agree with her. I could never do it either. And it’s not just about the attention, I can’t really explain it. There’s something so special and spiritual about what my husband and I have together physically and emotionally, that it would only be spoiled if another person entered. We also don’t allow p*rn or other means of gratification, it’s only us (part of it is religious conviction and also it’s just harmful mentally). Every day, I love him more. Usually the women who are marrying people with 4 wives are people who are divorced and are seeking financial aid for their children. It’s extremely rare to find a women who is willing to be a fourth, third, or even second wife.

A man has to clarify if he aims to have multiple wives before he marries his first. In each meeting he has to make his choice clear. A woman can then accept or reject the man as the final say is hers and hers only.
