How is it you changed my life years ago with your decluttering videos and now you are shaking my core and changing my life so radically on the inside? Dawn, we have gone so far beyond a neat and tidy house. No one can speak to me (well, maybe your sister) like you do and offer help in areas I share with no one. Thanks for being my (unknown) best friend. 💜

That is what a counselor did with me. He would ask me a question, and ask me after I answered that “Why does that matter?” Over and over. It really helped. I still ask myself that today.
  • Yes Jesus “hung out” with sinners but he dwelt among them telling them the truth. Sometimes it is offensive to say the truth, but he said it anyway because he loved them telling them to repent etc.

Loved this chat about self healing and self awareness. As a committed atheist, I believe the 8 C's represent a good description of the best human qualities. So non-religious can use them just as well as Christian, Jews, Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists, Confucians, etc. can.
  • I just love your various selfs being "on the bus" and having a food fight. Great way to view a complex concept.

Down is the best listener. Such a high emitional IQ ❤️

This disconnect is the same phenomenon that occurs when one is shocked by the older face staring back from the mirror.

Natalie's attitude towards her children questioning god is so beautiful. If only all parents could approach their children with such compassion, grace, and love.

Love that she gave such practical ways to apply her teachings about internal family systems. I will never forget the image of the bus containing all our parts. Especially when the parts are having a food fight on the bus!
  • If people don't like journaling and they'd rather speak it out, record it and then listen back like you are listening to your best friend (because you are!)

I love this!!!❤❤❤ (quote from 29:20) “I wanted women to have more compassion on themselves…” What a blessing this podcast has been! It resonates in my heart. Thank you for sharing your story!!🙏🏻
  • My krumkake iron lives in the over flow closet, with other baking oddities. Thanks for this excellent discussion.

Oh wow! Thank you so much for this eye-opening podcast! It had me quite floored at some moments. Even if some part of me felt rather uncomfortable and didn't want to continue to listen, while another just was cheering it on - wanting to hear more, and a third just wanted a cup of coffee and so on. I would never have noticed all those different parts as clearly without this information and will listen to this again for sure. There is so much to unpack there. Thank you both so much for sharing this here today.
  • This was a very thought provoking conversation,so glad I got to listen to it, thank you.

Dawn led me to Flying Free last year with the collaboration they did. Both women have had such a powerful and positive impact in my life. Thanks to both of you ladies!
  • I never thought to apply IFS to decluttering! This is a brilliant angle!

This was a wonderful talk! I can’t wait to read this book. Thank you, Dawn.
  • @Baileybooandecho
Sent this to my kids. They are trying so hard (in their 20s) to figure themselves out! Hopefully some of this will help.
  • @danadunn3954
What a podcast. I’ve already finished the book. I’ve never felt anything more similar to me. Never. Amazing.
