It's funny looking at new comments on this 2015 video. This video was made when Casey had around 400k+ subscribers and about a month after he started daily vlogging. Bigger vloggers with a few million subscribers started stealing his style. Kids don't get it today pretty much every key elements you see in vlogs today wasn't happening in vlogs until Casey. The Time laspes, setup shots like in a film, montage shots, the music editing. Casey was really the first to use DSLR in vlogging. Vlogging before Casey was basically small cameras like Canon Powershots and the vlogs were basically shot in like selfie formats. Casey brought his film making skills into Youtube vlogging and change the genre forever.

Do old Casey vlogs feel like a warm blanket to anyone else?

Just watching some old Casey Neistat Vlogs because well.... It's Casey and I can't remember every vlog so I'm bored and re-watching. Am I the only one?

Anyone who's not been a creative for their whole life will naturally produce content based on the style of their favourites. Over time they will learn to develop a unique style. I think this is how my style was developed. I see people copy my stuff sometimes & I try see it as a compliment, like you say it's a confirmation that you're doing something right. But if people straight thrive my work it's super frustrating!

theres something about caseys vlogs thats so interesting, that they almost feel like they are a minute long. I used to love Ben Brown videos but now i find myself fast forwarding through them often. Casey why are yours so interesting even if nothing happens..

i've been on a casey binge and I just love all the details in your vlogs. All the little mundane things like picking a skateboard become really interesting cause I'd notice the holes you drilled in them. And that detail says something about your personality
