the last bit made me tear up, especially with Dain being the one narrating this 😭 because we know he of all people would be judgemental of anyone seeking immortality, and he does, he says here that most people seek it for selfish reasons -- but he has the utmost respect and sympathy for only Baizhu, because while eternal life is nothing but suffering for Dain, for Baizhu, it is a release from suffering, and something he yearns for not even for himself, but so he can continue to help people and let them live longer; he is as selfless about it as one can possibly be, and Dain recognizes this. I would be so fascinated to see these two interact... oh my heart :' )

I like how, in the two recent character demos (Kaveh and Baizhu), Dain doesn't sound too disapproving of their actions, and instead, has positive remarks. He even praises Kaveh to an extent...

I wanted kaveh so I was deciding pulling on ganyu or baizhu's banner. HE CAME IN FIRST 10 PULLS WTH I'm gonna treasure this dendro accupuncture man on my nilou bloom team
