  • This song means the world to me. Hearing it while actually being 3 years clean is so incredible. This song helped me at my lowest low. I'm so glad I can hear it now that I'm out of the woods, if you will. This song will always have such a special place in my heart

I remember when I first heard this song, I was walking on a snow filled sidewalk, in a new country, no friends, no money, young, confused and missing family. Very nostalgic, looking back, I’m so glad I have survived those years. Thank you for the music Taylor!

Saw her perform this live in concert; she prefaced this song with a speech about how you shouldn't let others' opinions and judgments about you affect how you feel about yourself - the only people's opinions that matter are those who truly love and care about you. I still remember the sincerity of her words, and as she sang this beautiful song while being transported around the stadium in a forklift contraption, you can see her trying to make eye contact with as many people in the audience as possible, even those in the nosebleed seats. She truly is a performer in a class of her own. I feel the success and acclaim that she has earned is well deserved.

After I left my marriage of almost 20 years, there was a specific set of songs that just describe it all perfectly. You're Losing Me, Clean and then I Forgot That You Existed. This woman is so talented and her songs talk about just about everything.

We are so lucky to have Taylor. She make the fans proud everytime, so visual, talented, genius, kind, humble, superstar.

The maturity in her voice amplifies the new feeling of stepping into a new light! Proud of her will to re-record her music

I cried when I heard this song for the first time. I’m 10 months clean now myself. I did it alone. Without a support system in place for me. I’m really proud of my strength. Thank you for this beautiful song that feels as if it was written for me.

"When I was drowning that's when I could finally breathe" I don't know why but that line always got me.

Okay someone has to say it, this might be the best lyric video ever. The imaginary is gorgeous, a huge applause for the people who did the effects, this is beautiful.

This song is so big for me. In my head, every time I hear it, I imagine the scenery Taylor once described, and it just gives me life. The moment you realize you haven’t been struggling for a few days now and you feel pretty fine… It’s… It’s so huge, bittersweet, painful and happy at the same time, nostalgic and heartbreaking, but peaceful, and… clean. Thank you, Taylor Swift The Suburban Legend

i screamed when i heard this version for the first time. her voice is so clear and beautiful. theres so much closure in this version that wasnt there in the old one. in the old one she was still hurting, in this one she is, in her own words, "finally clean"

I listened to 1989 (Taylor’s Version) for the first time yesterday, I’m a newly converted Swiftie and this song resonates with me so much, it’s the first Taylor song to make me cry. The lyrics cuts deep in my heart as I understood every word she was singing. I had to let go of someone that I cared about deeply but wasn’t getting the same love back in return and it’s safe to say that I’m getting “clean”.

This song has been my companion in lonely tear-filled sleepless nights where I tried to "scream so loud but no one heard a thing" and it means so much to finally listen to Taylor's Version and realizing that though I might not be completely healed and "clean," I can say I'm doing better now than I did before. Thank you, Taylor.
  • WHOA. The visuals were AMAZING. It felt like I was watching a movie. My jaw was open the entire time in awe of this. This was beautiful. Taylor, I applaud you for all the creativity you continue to share with us. I wish I could immediately nominate this video for creative visuals, photography and everything else that falls under ART.

This song saved me! My boyfriend cheated on me, the next day I listened to this song and started to heal. The very first time I listened to the Taylor's Version of this song I couldn't help to cry cause it reminded me how strong I am and that now I'm Clean! THX Taylor for healing people through your music!
  • This song really got me through the healing process of leaving an abusive relationship and even now all these years later it reminds me to be proud of myself for making it here. So thankful for Taylor and her art 🩵1️⃣9️⃣8️⃣9️⃣🩵

I love how she’s not wearing makeup; because she’s finally clean. This is beautiful
  • I absolutely love the fact that this song's meaning changed and evolved over time as fans would connect the lyrics to any type of trauma. Even Taylor herself acknowledged it!
