  • this song was so underrated the first time round, I hope it gets the love it deserves
  • @lershen29
I've always thought Lover was her best love song but fortunately, this song exists. How she managed to describe her feelings beautifully here is really spot on. I'm forever in awe with Taylor's songwriting skills.

"You're my best friend" There are many ways to say 'I love you' and this one forever stays in my mind and in my heart.
  • Can we all agree that she absolutely CRUSHED this 1989 tv AND the vault songs?! 😩💕

Most underrated song on 1989! Hope it gets the love and recognition it deserves this time around! She uses beautiful language in her lyrics. She could just straight out say that love is loud and bright but instead she says, "You can hear it in the silence. You can see it with the lights out". BRILLIANT!!! 🥰

This song is so beautiful. I love the way that Taylor uses “you can hear it in the silence” and “you can see it with the lights out” to capture the feeling of pure love, when you feel so strongly about a person that you’re able to understand them without even having to say a word.

Just got married over the weekend. Our DJ cleared the room for just my wife and I and gave us the last song. This was what my wife chose. It was a very special moment for us
  • It's 2024, Let's see how many swifties are listening to this beautiful masterpiece❤❤❤
  • @nlsssss11
This is one of those songs that is just too beautiful and romantic that you can’t associate it with someone else until you’ve been married 50 years
  • @highinfidelity11
I'm stunned and speechless, this is my favorite song from this album and I'm so happy she finally owns it

this song to me sounds like a hot vanilla latte, wearing a yellow cardigan, and heading down to the beach not to play in the sand but to sit on the hood of the car and stare at a sunset with a beautiful, warm gradient. it's incredible how visual the production is, not just the lyrics :-)
  • This is one of the most underrated Taylor songs. The intro is so beautiful and simple, and the lyrics are incredible. The “best friend” part gets me every time. I hope in the future more people will recognise it as one of the best 1989 songs 🩵

You Are In Love seems sweet and heartfelt. We all know Taylor's magical lyricism never fails to captivate us listeners even from the very beginning.

POV: you're in the 1989 World Tour and Taylor asks you to sing the words "slience", "way home", "light out" to make echo with this song and you with the crowd are doing it. And you with all of the crowd in that tour were happy 💙

“And so it goes you two are dancing in a snowglobe round & round” – Literally the Lover music video! Taylor even said she's inspired by this very line

I love the bridge to this song. The quote, "You understand now...why I've spent my whole life tryna put it into words" is such a simple, sweet defense against all the haters who claim that Swift is a "serial dater," a claim that was born out of or at the very least fueled by the misogyny inherent in society. Swift is not a serial dater; she is a woman, and she does what women do best: feel deeply. And because she is a talented poet and performer, she shares her feelings in songs that are relatable to women everywhere. Love to Swift is the most fascinating and inspiring emotion, which is why it is the focus of so many of her compositions, and she believes that when someone experiences real love, they will understand her and her music.
  • @TheTypicalAries
THIS SONG IS MY ACHILLES HEEL. The lyrics is so honest and vulnerable specially when she says "and why I've spent my whole life trying to put it into words" and she still to this day tries her all to put the meaning of love into words. This song speaks the mystery of defining love in such a poetic way. 3:52 and I'll NEVER NOT CRY AT THESE BACK VOCALS 😭
  • @ThePolymation
This song is sung from the perspective of a woman loving a man, but as a guy, I feel like it's being sung to me, almost like a tribute being given by a loving woman who is revealing her inner emotions regarding our love, so I can appreciate it still in that way. I like everything about this, her voice, the melodies, lyrics, and visuals. This is timeless music.
  • @haphoppz
the visuals are beautiful, it’s exactly what this song feels like. Like you’re on a beach and everything is in slow motion.
  • @aysenur324
This song just shows how true love can be so simple. The lyrics and production makes you feel like you're in love and i cry like everytime in the bridge
