I have built a lot of V8 Vegas back in the 70's and 80's but Never saw the effort put forth in this one!... I bow to you Sir!
-
I had a 1975 with a 327 I stuffed in it with help from my older brother. It was fun but not to this caliber. I was very young and did not know all the work needed and ended up twisting the rear end out of the car. I had a ton of fun before it gave out though. I had the 327 hooked to a 3 speed manual.

I absolutely love that color! A Vega was my first car and after I flipped it upside down and totaled it a Vega was my second car. My first one was a black and gold 76 hatchback with the three line gold pinstripe down the side and GT wheels. The only thing that didn't look GT was the dash and steering wheel. It had no sway bars front or back from the factory and by the time I was driving it seven years later the shocks were completely worn out. Throw in some tires that were worn down to the wear indicators and it was one handful to handle. The second one I ended up with was also a 76 and gave me many trouble free miles before I sold it. The odometer had turned over twice. The one in this video is outstanding and I'd love to drive it. That car didn't weigh much and with that LS1 motor it has to go like a bat out of Hades.

Gorgeous build, perfect.

I always knew that there was a lot of wasted potential in the Vega. You Nailed it. Nice Job
-
Bad ass ride. You've solved the twist issues and have yourself a sweet and rare car.
-
Verynice, I think this confirms my thoughts on stuffing a ls3 w/tr6060 in one of my Vega,s
-
cleanest build I've seen so far. love the LS mill!
-
Great video, I would like to see a H.O. V6 installed in a Vega or Monza. I think it would be a very quick and better balanced car.
-
Nice job. You should be proud.
-
This was what I wanted to do to my 71 Vega GT wagon! If I had a chance to do it again, it wouldβve worked out nicely!
-
My favorite car in the world
-
I did a V8'S-10, always wanted a Vega
-
Beautiful!

I have built a few Vegas and have a V8 Astre now. Really nice looking build. Those headers must have been a pain to make and figure out. My headers are made by Doug Thorley and unfortunately they no longer make them.

My first car was a 73 vega blue with white rally stripes. I love that car. I wish that I can find another one
-

First stick shift I ever drove. My sisters 1972 Vega. She was so disappointed that I didn't stall it.
