Arminian and Calvinism Theology

Studying through Romans for my men’s group I was leading recently, when I got to realizing what is in Romans 9 this doctrine of election came alive to me and like John has said before when you come to a knowledge of this, the lights go on and you realize this is revealed all throughout scripture.

I was depressed for several days when I found out I had nothing to do with my salvation. But thank the Lord I didn't. What a mess I would have made of it if I had. God steers us along the path he wants us to walk to fulfill his plan or purpose in the scheme of things here in this world. Glory be to God..

I got saved through the preaching of John at 19 years old, 30 years ago. I have listened to thousands of his sermons since then. This is one of his best!

This truth is undeniable throughout Scripture. Pride crushing. God honouring. Eternal gratitude and glorification of God will ring throughout the ages.

The best pastor of our time. Love John MacArthur so much. Been so blessed by his godly wisdom and biblical teachings throughout the years.

An encouragement for parents with wayward children: 1. God has to do the work in their hearts. 2. We are called to pray that He will continue to work, that He will be pleased to grant them repentance. Thank you, brother MacArthur.

Once God opens your eyes to see these truths in Scripture you cannot unsee them, and so many things click into place. I'm so thankful for the ministry of John MacArthur even though his teachings once used to make me so mad lol

Like Pastor Swindoll said one time recently: "He is God, and I am not." Even our so-called free will is a form of self-righteousness. Powerful message.

Thank you for giving all the verses showing we can do nothing but for the Holy Spirit in us.

The most influential preacher of the day. Who will step in his shoes when he passes. I see so many churches dying trying to be all things to all people and preaching so watered down for growing it is sickening. I listen to John every night before going to sleep and love his sound doctrinal stand of the gospel f Jesus Christ my Savior and Lord!❤

Great sermon

John MacArthur impresses me very much because he speaks clearly, he motions modestly and speaks directly to the point of his message and doesn't declare that he is always right but maintains as to what the bible tells him in his own understanding. He stands firm with his knowledge of what he understands and knows he does not have all the answers about God. He does not run around on his podium like a wild idiot, nor shouts into the microphone with a loud voice as though no one can hear him and acts likes someone extremely high on caffeine and that impresses me the most

I have been a Calvinist for 47 years and I have never heard anything to make me change my mind.

"CHOOSE this day whom you will serve." "I set before you Life and Death; CHOOSE Life."

Heard a preacher say during the alter call , “ you can choose today to be reborn”

Grace Alone Faith alone And that very Faith is a Gift from God You didnt earn it or develop it God gifted it to you
