When she said, “If I have to be the only one in the family that does this, then so be it” really resonated with me. I need to take this on, instead of hoping/trying to convince anyone else. Thanks for the interview!
  • As an African American woman, it makes me so happy to see Marcia’s life change. Many of us will absolutely have to be “trailblazers” in our families due to some cultural challenges. I went to dinner with friends yesterday. I began to look around the table at what we were consuming. Yes, it all looked and smelled delicious and I was absolutely tempted to indulge…… but I don’t WANT to feel sluggish and ick after. It’s not worth it. I enjoyed my burger w/cheese and bacon and felt great after. One of my friends became sick to her stomach right after. Something she ate didn’t agree with her and it happens often. Another friend sells “weight loss” products… but she hasn’t changed her eating habits. WANTING to lose weight is good, but we have to change our diet. I am trying to get my entire family to consider carnivore. I want to change the quality of our lives❤️❤️
  • dont worry about what people think, one day they might realize how wise you are!
  • Several months ago, the office where I work decided to start a "Wellness Committee." I am not lying when I tell you someone brought in 2 boxes of Krispy Kreme doughnuts the very next day. Last Friday, they did a "yogurt bar." Toppings were bananas, honey, strawberries, granola, blueberries, pineapple and no telling what else. I get looked at like I have a third eye when I explain that I don't eat those things. Now, I get the ... just have one bite, it won't kill you. So many of my coworkers are overweight and complain of aches and pains. They see my progress and even ask what I'm doing only to say "oh, that's not healthy or oh, I could never do that." 😂

I love this lady! She’s so real and I think she’s a real trailblazer. I, too, noticed a small percentage of people of color. I think she’s terrific for being public. Her community will only benefit.

Nice interview. Thanks for sharing your story Marcia
  • Glad to see your story, please do not worry about what color of a person is doing this. We are all united by good health! Health has no color, Carnivore community is about Humanity!
  • “Fear of chronic disease” is now one of my top reasons for changing too. At first mental health was my main goal until I learned about the rest of the havoc the SAD wreaks on the human body… You know one thing that keeps me up at night? If they lied to us about this and so many other masssssively important parts of life, just imagine what we still DON’T know. Gets rough for people like us, we’re ALWAYS playing catch-up… but anyway! Thank you both so much, Dave and Marcia; can not wait to watch the full interview! I don’t want to be a “statistic” either! Thank you both so much again and hope everyone has a beautiful day 💯🙏🏻❤️

Had some spices on my meat yesterday at a street festival. Messed up my stomach and my sleep. I avoid if at all possible.
  • Thank you for sharing Marcia, I hope you will do an update with Dave once you get the blood labs done and give us an update how you're feeling.
  • @asuranrocks
yessss, they always say 'reintroduce the things' but why would i after i feel so good without those things

One thing she mentioned stood out to me is when she said her friends have to have the bun so it could soak up some of the Grease. That's a true statement that render fat is going to go through a lot of people that's why it's better to eat the fat on the meat so it absorbs slowly.
  • @gjahncke
You got it ate the meat learned the most important lesson in life
