Thirty million years ago a new group of creatures appeared on planet Earth: the great apes. From their ranks arose one family, gifted with exceptional skills: our protagonists. This family would change the face of our world forever.

Here, for the very first time in television history, is the saga of our origins, told through the story of one single family - an epic journey upon which the latest scientific discoveries shine an exciting new light.

Seriously YouTube? Such a good cinematic production and you had to do the silly and distracting electronic blurring ? Jesus...you really need to do some serious review of your policies.

Soon as you start blurring body parts, that’s the “first man.” If it wasn’t a person, they wouldn’t have to blur anything.

Love these kinds of shows wish they would make more new ones
  • Other animals are capable of empathy or at least picking up on our emotions. I’ve experienced it many times. Man kind still believes that we are so different from other species. I’ve been around wild animals & domestic animals all my life & from this experience have learned that animals have complex emotional lives & obviously don’t want to suffer any more than we do
  • Very imaginative but full of conjecture. More entertainment than documentary.
