You know I was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio. I attended Patrick Henry from 1977 to 1979. Ironically, my dad was friends with Eddie Levert and his son Gerald used to live down the street from me. Also i met Chuck Brown in 1992 in Oxon Hill, Md at a liquor store and found out he lived down the street from me in District Hts., Md. Talk about a six degrees of separation, wow!!! But the 21 years I grew up there I never heard of the ponderosa twins and yet I grew up in the same neighborhood as them at the very same time.

I cannot recall this group, but they sound good. Doing a job and not getting paid is so wrong, the music industry is dirty, and it keeps getting worse.

I heard their version of ‘You Send Me’ before I heard the original by Sam Cooke. I admit, they were the only group I heard that I thought was the Jackson 5. Other few boy groups at the time, including the Osmonds, didn’t sound as close to the Jackson 5 to me. Sad to hear of what they went through. Different management and different sound as they got older may have brought them more success.
